Didn't cover gray.I filled out the question form, but it wouldn't let me submit. Anyway, this is what I said... The gray wasn't covered like it was the prior time. The lighter shade was better, but I still felt that it was a little brassy on the top. Maybe I need to keep it on longer (although I did the amount of time in the instructions). I am going to re-color it right away if it isn't too harsh and if it is okay with your formula. I really love the colorI thought I take a chance and order this hair color instead of going to the salon and paying a $100 everytime. So I just colored my hair last night and WOW!!!!! I love the shade the picked for me. I was wanting a ash tone and my hair color lady said that might not be the best choice. She was so right on with the color she made for me. Great color at home!I have always had my hair colored at the salon, but our household is on a money saving kick- esalon to the rescue. My hair looks fabulous, and I did it at home. The color is great the option to use a bowl/brush or bottle to apply everything was clearly explained, and couldn't have been easier.
