Best colour I have ever achieved at home!I had a home colour disaster a couple of years ago and it has taken a while to get sorted. When lockdown started I was due a colour and missed it. Being useless at anything like this i decided to do an all over colour and root refresh on my highlighted hair. The results were slightly darker than I was hoping BUT looked so much better, really natural and my mum commented that it was the best colour she had seen on me for ages! I am hoping to go gradually lighter and reverse my historic disaster but am a convert to home colour with e-salon. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

So easy, so affordableI colored my hair myself for years, but it was always dry and you could tell it was from a box. So I switched to going to a salon every month to get my hair back to a healthy state. And it did look great. But the pricetag of $150 a month was not so great. Stunning colour that I couldn't get from my average $300 salon visitI am completely blown away. I used to spend $300 for a cut and colour at an Aveda salon every 6 weeks, only to find that the tint would fade after one wash, and the colour was dull. They tried to make adjustments but it never improved and I had to spend almost 3 hours getting it done. Then they closed during the pandemic and my husband found esalon. He convinced me to try it and I can't believe the result! It is by far the most beautiful colour I've ever had and everyone has been asking me where I got it done! I never thought I could apply the colour myself, but it's so easy and you just can't beat the convenience of the subscription based service. Door to door service, and 35 minutes later, I'm good to go for the next 7 weeks. I'm 40 and people still ask me if I'm 35. I'll take it! Can't recommend this service and product enough. Nice job E salonFor some reason I made the decision to let my greys come in this year. I could no longer face the 3 hour sessions at the salon. I last saw my hair dresser in jan and she put in a ton of highlights but left my roots. Coupled with lockdown I had a good 4 inches of silver which I was cool with until I took a selfie outside and thought who the hell is that 50 year old women! (I am 42 next week). Not sure when I could next see my hairdresser I decided to give e salon a try. I must admit I got concerned when my colourist on seeing the my 50 year old selfie changed my order from median brown to dark blond . I didn’t have much hope for the results, but my greys are gone and the colour blends perfectly. I will definitely use again 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

All I need to worry about now is how to break up with my colorist.My hair situation is so complicated - it's long and my base color is dark brown, although it was much lighter before I had my 3 (now adult) children. I'm in my early 50s and am getting a fair # of grays now. I am in the sun and salt water every day. Try as I do to protect both my skin and hair, it's tricky. I have been going to the same colorist for decades in order to keep the natural, sun-kissed look of my 20s, and he has always warned me that I must never, never try at-home color. When the pandemic made salon visits impossible, I decided to bite the bullet and try eSalon. Based on the detailed profile and picture I sent in, the colorist assigned to my "case" suggested some tweaks to my original request,. As long as I was in for the proverbial penny, I said "sure" & sure enough, my box arrived very soon. After so many years of watching the pro at work on my head, I felt pretty confident going through the steps of coloring my roots, but I did appreciate the clear and simple instructions to safeguard my existing (and very expensive) baliage. (Loved the little sticker to put them up on my mirror so I could see!) The results are ... wow. Absolutely brilliant. I could not be happier with my base color & the way it blends with my ombre. I have so much confidence now, I am going to try touching up my highlights as well once the eSalon highlighting kit is back in stock ... and considering the money and time I just saved (I always found the hours in the salon amidst all the noise and requisite chit-chat a little tedious), I may not go back even when restrictions are lifted. Now all I have to worry about is how to break up with my (former?) colorist ... thinking of using all the $$ I save to send him a generous Venmo along with my thanks and farewells :) 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Great color with few exceptionsAfter the initial dye, my hair became the most subtle red vibrant colour and I loved it... Until the two weeks were over and I had my old boring color back. I understand that red takes a long time to stick, but even with all the care I do and precautions I take, I just wished it would have stayed longer.
