A little darker than expectedI don't normally colour my hair as it gets dry and breaks. Although the colour was a little darker than expected, I am willing to go lighter very slowly and gradually in order to preserve the health of my hair. The products did not dry out my hair AT ALL, my hair still feels soft and very much alive. The step by step instructions are easy to follow. My natural hair colour is back...but with superpowersThe whole process of deciding a custom colour is really simple and extremely thorough; it takes you through a consultation, as if you were with a stylist “in real life”. You choose your current hair colour status, mine being all over colour, what type of dye you use, when you last used hair dye, hair length and grey coverage all the way through to your ethnicity, eye colour through to your hair colour history. SUPER THOROUGH. Theres an option to upload a photo of yourself so that the mixologists can have a better look at what they are working with. Once I had decided from the myriad of colours available, I chose, paid and waited. The next day I received a phone call to discuss the options I had chosen and to double check that’s exactly what I was after, and they were so helpful and knowledgable it put me at ease. When the package arrived it contained everything you could possible need, and not think of! Gloves, mixer as standard but also with some wipes and a dye barrier, which you just rub around your hairline so you don’t get that awkward spackle or thick line where the dye has sat! The colour was perfect, the application was seamless, although the only thing I will say is that my bottle of mix was screwed on so tight that I had to use scissors to cut it, but it had been out in the cold all morning so I assume that had something to do with it! Would thoroughly recommend this service; you get the quality of product and service you would in a salon with the guarantee of a colour you will love, which is as you know never certain with a standard box dye! 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Wash out colorWhat a bummer this was. My roots were Orange a week later, and my ends still a wash out copper. I had a better experience going back to the store and getting my regular color. Color still wrongI wasn't happy with the original color and talked with a representative and she made adjustment and then I tried that one. While the 2nd did take away the very dark brown, the red tones still came out orange red rather than a violet red. Good product. Gentle on your hair.I used this product for like a year, I believe. At first it was really nice. I received compliments on my hair color... it looked alive and full of natural looking shades. But after using it for a year or so, my hair started looking dull and lifeless. My touch ups, that used to be once a month or even every 5 to 6 weeks, my hair started demanding them every 3 weeks. Sometimes a little sooner than that! In the end, It was as much a monetary reason, as a dissatisfaction with the product, what made me discontinue that especific product of all the others I love from eSalon! In the end, I didn’t get the shades I’ve got at the beginning, nor the healthy natural looking color. It still is a good product. BlahJust looks like my normal drab color. Not çhocolate. Just plain dark brown like it was. Did take out the grays tho. But for that..ill just stick w supermarket dye. Plus there wasnt enough shampoo n conditioner by far! 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |
