Darker than I expectedGreat color, develops very quickly. Also shipped super fast, which was awesome. However, it's just a tad darker than I thought it would be but, I don't hate it. It's a nice color and was pretty easy to get it all over my head. Didn't get a stain guard like the kit said I had, but it's totally fine. All the color came off my skin really easily with soap and water. I think this service is very great, I just wish the price didn't go up to 20 for every color you get after your first one. Not sure how long the color will last, but excited to see. It's supposed to be permanent so hopefully that holds true. This is the greatest thing ever!I have always been on top of my hair color (even more so now that the silvers show up a lot faster). I actually found out about this place from Pinterest and because I was spending 25.00ish for hair color at ULTA anyways, I decided to give it a whirl. The colors are so vibrant...and they fade but it takes a lot longer it seems. I even skipped my esalon color and went with the Madison Reed color that I had purchased before I found out esalon AND THERE WAS A DISTINCT DIFFERENCE in the texture of my hair after coloring and the color itself. I found myself coloring my hair three weeks later because of that. I also wanted to see how easy it was to adjust my color (I did this with my last order) and really just to change things up a bit. I got the email saying that my order was about to ship and I had 'X' number of days to modify my color. I didn't have to log into the website! I was able to reply to the email which made things even more convenient and although I have yet to color my hair with my adjusted color, I was impressed. Not What I ExpectedI am one who colors my hair at home often. I found this kit to be frustrating to use and smelled horrible. There was only one pair of gloves included which I expected but then it says to shower and rinse with a clean pair of gloves? The second bottle smelled so intense that I was gagging from the fumes while trying to finish coloring my hair. I was disappointed that it didn't include a tube of conditioner like a store kit does. It was only enough conditioner for one use. The color was not all that different from what I get from the store. I think the idea is nice I just don't think this is for me. Maybe better for women who have more salon experience. It was hard to section my hair and then color it and use the brush. It was just a mess. Since I had requested a red tone it looked like a murder scene in my bathroom because of the mess. It was as if I had never colored my hair before!
