Beautiful color, and perfect for my budget.I used to color my hair at home with store bought color and inevitably I would need to go to the salon to fix color that was darker than I wanted and somehow my hair would always end up with an artificial purple tone to it that I just couldn’t get to go away (it looks great on some people but doesn’t look quite right on me)- I get washed out easily). Enter eSalon- my color is dark brown with copper and mahogany and it’s exactly the the natural looking color that I wanted with warm tones that flatter my skin tone. I was dubious, but my color looks fantastic!I wasn't sure how this could be better than any other at-home color, but my color looks rich, is black enough without being harsh, it has multi-dimensional color and was soft and shiny for weeks. IN HOME SALONI purchased from E-Salon because my hairdresser wanted me to come every week to get my hair toned, and having depression....it was definitely not possible. She also refused to dye my hair which was blonde, into a strawberry blond/auburn for no reason, so she def lost my trust there. I learned my lesson not to purchase box dye, so I googled for the best online high-end color. The personalized color was very nice, I uploaded a picture of what color I wanted and they delivered! The smell is definitely VERY strong. It smells even after washing with the included shampoo and conditioner (that I left for 5-8 mins) . So, definitely do it in a ventilated room. Aside from the VERY VERY strong smell, I am SO satisfied with the color and I know it has just been applied, but I will update when the 12 week mark hits! 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. High quality dye, but have a friend help you if you are a beginner!!I'm still pretty new to dyeing my own hair, which seems to have the potential to save money, but it was very time consuming as a beginner. Everyone should take into consideration their own skill level when deciding to use this product because while the videos made self application look fairly easy, these women are experienced. The dye itself seems to be high quality. I have very thin hair and it was very soft when all was done. Issue Resolved - I LOVE my new colour!I am so glad I gave Esalon another shot because I am so happy now! I have had such a roller coaster of a ride with E-Salon. I really wanted to like this service because the price is right, the customer service is great, and the whole process is so convenient. My first 3 attempts with Esalon weren't great. I went with a demi-permanent copper and it barely coloured my hair. I couldn't notice a difference in colour at all. I had a few colour corrections sent to me but they just didn't make a difference. Thankfully I tried a 4th time and instead went with a permanent intense copper and now I LOVE IT! It is perfect. Vibrant and bright while not looking fake. Every day I get compliments on my hair and people think it is my natural colour. I will definitely keep ordering this. I am very very impressed. The only downside is that I do have A LOT of hair and I will have to order an extra bottle each time because there is just not enough in one bottle to colour all my hair. Also, I did read the reviews of the colour feeling gummy and making the hair feel awful. In the shower, I had a really difficult time washing the colour out of my hair, but I persisted! I ended up washing it 3 times (using the entire packet of shampoo that is included). I then conditioned it with the entire packet and left the conditioner on for 10 minutes. My hair felt super soft and sleek afterwards! So the trick is to just keep washing to get the gunk out, don't panic, and then do a deep condition. My hair feels so great now. Incredible product, service, and results!!I went from spending over $130 every 6-8 weeks to just $20! And eSalon let's me decide when it works for MY schedule- sometimes late Saturday night. Or on a Sunday when my sweet but pricey beautician is not available. I've changed the color a couple of times. You get a real person on the phone right away to give you advice and adjust your order. I just hung up with a really nice lady. My hair is much softer now because all I do is touch up the roots the way eSalon taught me- and I knew NOTHING about hair coloring before! If I can learn, anybody can learn! ESalon shows you how to do it easily. I use a bowl and the original brush applicator that came with my first shipment. I also add "shine" to my order once in a while to give my hair some extra vibrancy. I use 4 big hair clips to hold my hair in place while applying color. I've had to have family help me recently because I'm disabled but before that I could do the whole thing myself with no trouble. It really is easy and fast!
