The first at home hair colour to come out as expected.I have spent years trying to find a good mahogany medium brown colour to use at home and every single time my hair just colours dark brown/black!! I have to wait for the colour to fade out for weeks before its anywhere near the colour I had hoped for. Finally, I thought id try esalon and for the first time ever I immediately have exactly the shade I want. I absolutely love it!! I started out with the introduction pack at a reduced price which was great and full of essentials. The shampoo smells devine!! I am now only ever going to use esalon and my second dye is onroute!! Ash BrownI wanted to love this experience. The coloring process was simple with this. I went for an ash brown, as it’s a little lighter than my former color; however, the color ended up making my hair a lot darker, than my former color. Very DisappointingLeft my hair extremely dry and dull and feeling like it still had some type of thick film on it - definitely did not feel clean and definitely had no shine. My hair is naturally very shiny so this was not good! I immediately shampooed and conditioned with my own products and got a cleaner feel and some shine back, but not like with my regular store color. Not at all what I asked for!I specifically requested a color to keep my hair ashy and light. I wanted light to medium blond and as ashy as you could make it because my hair turns gold/brassy so easily. My custom color I received turned my hair a Chestnut color!
