easy and non-stinky!So far so good..! (been coloring without problems for 38 years, but then - 1 accidental lightening episode ..😣😕🧐🤓🤪.... ) I'm normally a very dark, ash brown, almost a gray black. My family has little gray even into our 70's, if we're healthy, and I'm 56 with just a few gray/white hairs around my ears and creeping over the top of my head. I like my dark hair and don't match gray very well... (hate getting old, too!), so .. so - So - I’m sure this accident of my red roots with long, blackish-red ends, as the base that I’m testing eSalon on, will be a bear to grow out, 🐻🐻🐻 - but - after just doing the temporary, eSalon treatment tonight, I like what I’m seeing... I ordered Darkest Brown, Matte-Ash to obliterate the red, and gradually grow out and eliminate the blacker long hair with lightening. Basically, a double-down treatment of naturally bringing my roots back to normal, letting my hair just grow out the black, and also lightening up, toward the roots, to get black out, as well. The color is really still a bit too red for me, but I am happy that my roots are closer to an ash brown. Because I wear long layers, and curl my hair, I don't ever get "hmm.. what's with the color, Tanya..?" from anyone.. Just "man you have the most gorgeous hair!! I know you by your hair! I could tell it was you by your hair!"...... If I mess anything up, I just let it grow out and use a wash-out color to blend the mistakes. But this one is the biggest one I've ever done... LOL.. whew.. I missed a few grays right by my ears, which is not like me because I go there, and my forehead, firstly, and I know I saturated them very well... I'm thinking what I really should have done is kept the color on for at least 30 minutes, knowing my hair, but I followed the instructions of 10 on roots, and 5 on ends. Easy, Beautiful ColorThe kit was very easy to use and quicker than most drugstore kits. But the most important factor was the color. The color came out very rich and natural. My hair turned pink - HorribleHorrible. The stylist Sabrina changed my formula without asking and sent me a color end refresher. It was a completely different formula than what I was using. The formula I used previously was the color I wanted. I asked for more color as my hair did not get a complete application the first time around. Very sad.I was very excited for my kit to come in the mail. Followed the instructions to a T, and there is barely any change in color. Hair is soft from shampoo and conditioner though.
