Disappointed but eSalon is ListeningWhen completing my initial information in April 2020, I documented on the forms that I have very resistant extremely hard to color 100 % gray hair & a very sensitive scalp. I explained that prior to COVID 19 I had been going to the salon every 4 weeks to get my roots colored for many, many years. I documented on forms that several products that salon(s) used over the years caused my scalp to burn and or hurt. I wrote the brand of the color product that the salon used to color my hair successfully for years. I sent a picture in from my last color & another of my favorite color with highlights from 6 months ago. I called eSalon & explained all of my hair color challenges. After being assigned a colorist, I sent a few emails explaining my challenges and requested that he review the information I submitted to eSalon. My colorist & I spoke as well. We discussed my needs. He is very knowledgeable. I watched the "how to videos" he recommended. He is always willing to answer my questions. Since this was my first time coloring, it took longer. My husband assisted me. I was thrilled that my scalp did not burn. I thought everything was good until day 7 when I washed I hair with my sulfate free products in effort to preserve my color. Immediately, I noticed quite a bit of my gray coming through. Today is day 12 after coloring my roots. Today, I washed my hair for only the 2nd time since coloring my roots. Now you can't even tell that my roots were recently colored. My gray roots are completely showing all over my entire head. I contacted eSalon this afternoon to speak with my colorist. Adjustments will be made to my next color to hopefully make it last longer & cover my gray much better. I forewarned eSalon staff about my issues with color orally as well as in written form in effort to avoid these exact issues. I am disappointed in how my color turned out. Good product, just not quite what I was hoping for.I’m truly sad my hair didn’t come out the way I had hoped color wise. It DID come out a pretty color however, and the product, smell, packaging, instructions are awesome! I normally go to my stylist but couldn’t due to stay at home orders. Color wash outI colored my roots left the product on for 30 minutes didn't want it longer in my hair . As I was rinsing out the color it was a formula of mush I can't describe it I was washing out the color like 15 minutes in the shower finally . Color set1st time using this product. I was looking like a skunk due to Covid-19 and didn't see my salon opening anytime soon. I was already a month past my normal touch up appointment. I decided to bite the bullet and color my hair myself. I love the color..its dark and rich looking. My hair is long and I did find it difficult applying the color. It's not as neat and quick as the videos show. It was hard keeping the hair clipped up in sections. I managed...messy but managed to cover everything. Great Results!! So Happy!!To my colorist Tamara...THANK YOU for hearing my plea in my request to NOT end up with orange/red/brassy roots like I had been getting with my salon colorist. I’m so over her!! Tamara mixed the perfect color for me & I loved how the color bottle was personalized with my name on it! Although I was nervous to do my own hair for the first time, I was desperate to get rid of my gray. Halfway thru application I wasn’t feeling too confident in what I was doing. But I hung in there & OMG...the results were amazing!! I have dark brown roots just like I wanted!! No more gray, no orange, no red, no brass. I love it!! I had 6 weeks of awful gray grow out with orange tint. Now I have beautiful shiny dark brown roots. I’m SO happy!! Thank you for giving me a little piece of me back while I live thru the safer at home Orders here in Los Angeles!! I didn’t have to wait on my salon colorist who is always running late & then getting my request wrong & saying it’s because my gray is color resistant. My gray absorbed the eSalon color no problem!!
