Quality Coloring Product - still conflicted on priceI’m torn because I don’t love coloring my hair at home, I have a white bathroom and children who never give me time to myself. With quarantine I tried a couple box colors and wasn’t impressed since I’ve been getting professional color at a salon. I saw Terry Hatcher review this and decided to give it a try. I love the color, it saturates my greys better then other box colors, it’s not as messy as others. But I’m still struggling with the price.. most subscription services don’t charge you shipping which makes this a $30 box color. Customer service is incredibleAfter having a bad experience with another online co. whose medium brown color did not cover my grey and as a result looked very light brown, I ordered from eSalon. I then found out that my very fine colorist started making kits for clients to pick up. I had sent her a text with pic of my hair color and she said she could correct, so I decided to use her and called to cancel eSalon purchases already planned for the future. I never expected to return the kit that I had just received, the eSalon rep surprised me by telling me I should return the kit I just received for a refund. I am so impressed by this customer service. I recommend this co. to people buying kits online. I have to say that Color & Co that I first used not only resulted in a wrong color but also did not use my review after pretending as though they wanted to make sure my review was authentic. If you look at their reviews you will not find one that says the client would not use them again! I didn't totally slam them in my review, thought their instructions were good and kit. Color is wrong!I followed instructions to a T. My hairvis absolutely AWEFUL. Itz supposed to be blonde, its flipping red/orange/bronze. My husband of 31 years never says anything about my hair. Now EVERYDAY since coloring it hes asked when I can get it fixed. We leave for vacation in week!! I'm mortified! Ps. Strong ammoniaThe smell of regret singed my nose and eyes from the moment I mixed this color. While it did a great job covering 30% stubborn grey, my hair smelled like ant poison for a day. I’d like to say the color was worth it, but my fine curly hair was transformed into a reddish brown Brillo pad. I carefully processed 20 min per the directions, left it 5 min in my ends, and although it’s consistent- it’s flat- no dimension or copper red tone at all. Daily conditioner, leave in treatment, and hair oils for a week have barely helped. The ammonia hydroxide allows the hair follicles to absorb the dye, resulting in increased coverage and longer lasting color. While ammonia has a strong smell, eSalon and other experts believe it is a safer and more effective choice than the substitutes some other hair color companies use.In the future, we highly recommend applying the color in a well-ventilated room with windows and/or doors open for proper ventilation.We hope you have found this information helpful. Not customThis bums me out. I have tried countless times to tweak this hair color, but can’t get in touch with anyone. I have e-mailed/submitted questions and gotten no response, other than to say my color (unchanged) is “on the way”. It feels like a waste of time and I feel ignored at this point. This could be a great company if they could work out the kinks and pay attention to their clients.
