Bye bye salonI was terrified of this product, but so depressed over the gray that I had to do something. I ordered my product, the colorist emailed me to explain the process and make sure all my questions were answered. Within three days I had my box and on Saturday I started the process. The coverage was dark as it was explained to me I could only go darker not lighter. I had to keep going at that point and followed the instructions exactly not knowing what I would get. After application, rinse, application of color enhancer and final rinse did I see my results. Spectacular! OMG! My highlights are still there and the colors yes colors, are amazing. I.ABSOLUTELY.LOVE.MY.COLORLike many esalon clients, I used to go to an expensive salon (I have been seeing my colorist for over 15 years!), which means 1-1.5 hours out of my weekend and the salon is very crowded on the weekends (we don't like crowds anymore, do we?). I saw an esalon ad on a website, and decided to give it a try because of the shelter-in-place situation we are in. I included a picture of my hair and specified in my profile that I have stubborn grey. My first color came out beautiful, my grey blended in very well. I just did my own color for the 2nd time last night - another happy experience. I highly recommend esalon to anyone considering it. Confusing order process, unresponsive communication, no answer to questions...I struggled with the ordering process given I wanted to refresh my dark blonde highlights where roots were growing in dark brown. I wasn't sure whether I needed a highlight kit or a roots kit and how to order one versus the other. The ordering process only allowed me to select 2 shades lighter than my natural hair color. I reached out with my questions and received no reply. When I finally took the gamble and placed an order, it appeared as "roots only" color. I sent in my photo and detailed description of my goal, and again asked the question if this was the right solution for my purpose (renewing my light highlights into my dark roots). I have no grey. Again, I received no response. I did eventually receive a generic email from my "personal stylist" but no reply from my response to that either. Eventually my kit came in the mail and I applied it by the instructions... Easy enough to follow the directions, and the quality of the product seems good from a hair health perspective... but it completely did NOT accomplish my stated and restated goal. The color is slightly darker than my natural color at the roots, So I spent a lot of time & effort and some money to accomplish nothing... in fact I took a small step back in darkening the hair I wanted to lighten. At least I did not damage anything! In short, if I was a hair professional I might have ordered better and known what I needed... but isn't this the purpose of the product, to bring hair color to non professionals and guide them to getting what they need?
