CoverageI thought maybe the first time was user error since I didnt get a full coverage but this time Im sure that I did not have enough color set to fully saturate my hair. I have patches of my natural hair color showing after first wash and sections that couldnt get enough dye on (basically squeezed everything out of the bottle that I could get) I have thick hair that just started to grow past my shoulders so I need more color next time or I need to cancel since im not satisfied with the coverage again. Nice colour and service but it faded quickly on my greys at the roots.The service was brilliant and I loved the colour at first but after just two washes it faded at the roots but not on the lengths (possibly due to my stubborn greys). Custom Color SetI started coloring my hair on my own during the pandemic. I initially used Clairol Nice and Easy, which wasn't bad but I found my hair was coming out too brassy and yellowy (yes, I had both going on)y. For this reason, I had to do do a "blue" mask the day after I colored my hair followed by a "purple" mask two days after that--5 five day process--I did the toners on dry hair and let them sit for about 20 minutes before rinsing. Additionally, I was using toner shampoos twice a week-I needed to do this to keep the tones in my hair "calm". I came across eSalon and explained to them what my issue was with my existing color and what I wanted (less brassy/yellow-yes, I had both coming through) and I also sent them pictures of me and my hair in several settings: what my hair looked like in the house, and how it looked outside in the sun and poolside). eSalon provided me with a custom color and specific instructions on how to apply the color to my hair. I was able to follow the directions and I am VERY happy with my hair color now. I colored it today and there is no need for me to put any toner/mask into my hair to tone down brassy/yellow hues. That in and of itself is fantastic. Right now, I rate eSalon a five and will continue to use them--the amount of time and money I am saving not going to a salon, for me, is great. I work full time five days a week and was never a fan of taking a weekend day or evening to "get my hair done" (I am not one who likes sitting in a salon for two hours while my hair is colored).
