Meh, lots of room for improvement!I'm honestly not impressed or happy with my order. It's just ok honestly. It's like box dye that you'd get from Walmart, but in fancier packaging with your name on it and a "customized color". I suppose they came pretty close to the color I requested BUT I don't like how coppery the color is. I've never been able to find a dye that matches my natural strawberry blonde hair, so I gave this a chance and got the same fake, copper looking result as any other reddish box dye hair color. I wasn't seeking a different hair color. I only wanted to dye my grays, but now my entire head (moreso my roots) have that bright copper/orange color that is noticeably fake and unnatural looking. If you're a ginger like me, then you know what I'm referring to. For whatever reason our hair color is hard to replicate. Red hair dyes never turn out looking natural afterwards whether you're a natural redhead or not. This dye is no exception unfortunately. I guess my expectations were a little higher because Brad Mondo recommended it in one of his videos, but I'm sad to report he let me down on this one. I will say that the color is consistent as far as the shade goes. It is the same color all over (roots, mids and ends) BUT there are 2 patches/streaks of hair that didn't take the color on the top, back, center section of my head and I'm not sure why. I'm 99% positive it wasn't my fault because I was very meticulous and had help with it. My hair was completely saturated with dye all over. I know for a fact that no spots were missed and I didn't have any other products in my hair either. I washed it 2 days prior to coloring it because it's never a good idea to dye freshly washed hair, but also not good to dye dirty hair either. There was nothing in my hair. No leave-in products, no detangler. I just shampooed/conditioned it and let it air dry, then dyed it 2 days later. Not for meIt's only been 2 weeks since I initially colored, I thought I was going to get better gray coverage or at least better, long lasting coverage. Not at all. The color wasn't rich enough. The black isn't as black as box shelf coloring. 2 weeks later I was and now my roots have turned a golden brown color NO WHERE near my original color. I'm not impressed. I give eSalon A+++I have to admit after my first order I had serious doubts. My color was all wrong. I decided to give it another try and send in a picture of the color I wanted. I am so happy I gave it another shot because the color was spot on!! I couldn’t be happier. They really do go above n beyond. I had explained how my hair was so fried from the store bought coloring kits. Today my hair is so soft and shiny. Easy and AccurateThe questionnaire was comprehensive but simple to complete, the colour recommended to me was exactly what I was looking for. Application was a breeze (although I did get help with the back of my head as I was too nervous to attempt on my own) and the colour is vibrant and blended into my roots perfectly! Die perfekte Farbe!Als ich im Sommer 2020 durch eine Freundin auf Esalon aufmerksam wurde, war ich trotz vieler positiver Bewertungen skeptisch: Wie kann eine Colouristin, die meine Haare noch nie in echt gesehen hat, nur anhand eines Fotos und meiner Beschreibung "meine" perfekte Haarfarbe zusammenmischen? Ich habe rote Haare mit grauen, und mittlerweile fast weißen Ansätzen. Anfangs kam ich mit einer Tönung gut zurecht, aber seit meiner weißen Haaransätze sahen die Haare nach der Tönung orange und künstlich aus! Das ging gar nicht. Leider gibt es für uns Rothaarige in den Drogeriemärkten auch keine so große Farbauswahl an Tönungs- und Färbemitteln, die die eigene Haarfarbe natürlich aussehen lassen. Also wagte ich das Experiment mit Esalon direkt im Flexabo. Das Ergebnis war toll! Der Rotton war ein wenig zu dunkel, sah aber total natürlich aus. Da mich die Colouristen vor jeder neuen Lieferung anschreiben, habe ich peu à peu meine Haarfarbe um eine Nuance angepasst und jetzt ist meine Haarfarbe perfekt. Anfang 2021 kam es durch den Brexit zu einer längeren Wartezeit mit der Lieferung, was aber von Esalon zufriedenstellend gelöst wurde. Seit 01.07. kommen nun noch Zollgebühren und Kosten für den von DPD beauftragten Zollabwickler hinzu, so dass ich nicht mehr 27,95€, sondern insgesamt nun über 45€ für eine Lieferung zahlen muss. Das ist eine Erhöhung von über 60%! Schade! ich werde mich jetzt auf die Suche nach Alternativen machen und dann mein Abo kündigen. Es liegt nicht an der Haarfarbe oder an Esalon. Terrible ExperienceOn learning that my next color shipment is being prepared I thought I should first try to apply the coloring kit received a few weeks ago. My experience was an absolute disaster and I wasn't able to follow the step by step instruction. After applying approximately half of the bottle for roots and touch up, I noticed that the remainder mixture in the bottle applicator was foaming and oozing out of the bottle uncontrollably. Realizing that the liquid might stain the counter top, I thought my best option was to complete the process in the shower without further delay and basically forced water into the applicator and massaged my hair without waiting the 30 minutes as suggested. I, of course, can't comment if the color selected was a good fit for me but this "do it yourself" coloring is far too messy and no amount of savings would be worth it. If you have white roots, this may not work for you.Hello, I received my color kit a month ago and decided to use it yesterday. I put on the cape and followed the instructions. I expected to see at least partial improvement in my inch long white roots at the scalp. I applied the color and waited the full time and then some. I am very disappointed that a company so highly touted as the next best thing to having a professional hair coloring session sadly, for me, was not.
