Best at home hair colour - covers greysWhilst stuck in a covid lockdown I've been at home watching new grey hairs sprout on a daily basis. I decided to try eSalon after reading many excellent reviews. It is by far the best at home hair colour. The custom blend is excellent - previous attempts to use supermarket hair dye like L'oreal have resulted in my hair being extremely dry and the colour turned out way darker than intended. Other dyes also sting my scalp. The eSalon colour is just right and my greys are covered. The formulation is gentle with no stinging on the scalp. The packaging for the products is excellent. I especially loved your video tutorials that I watched numerous times. Only thing is the shipping time was 17 days which is far too long. You really need to sort that out for international customers. Strawberry BlondeI have been trying to find a color that is close to my natural. I’m 40 and my red was starting to look dull, also natural red hair turns white earlier than other hair colors and I had what I started calling “my Rogue patch” (think X-Men). I hated going to the salon, between the cost and every colorist refusing to believe when I say a little red goes a long way when you put it over natural red hair. I would pay more than $100 just to go home and frantically start washing with dandruff shampoo to intentionally try to get the color to fade.The other fun fact about red hair is dye doesn’t stick to it as well so it fades fast; trying to touch up my roots with the same color leads to a distinct 2 tone look. Yikes. I’ve been using eSalon for a little more than a year. I bought the clips, bowl, brush, and cape and every 6-8 weeks I settle in, turn on my music, and get to work on my roots. Then I take a few very small sections here and there and go all the way down. I love it EVERY time and get a ton of compliments on it. I’m a pharmacist and once I gave an antibody test to a beautician who asked where I got my hair done. When I told her I do it myself, her exact words were “you are ******* kidding me!”. Then she apologized for swearing and said she just couldn’t believe it. It’s mostly medium blonde with maybe 1/8th copper. Lovely colour but..I do like the colour, just perfect shade, however my hair feels more tired now and dry. Didn't cover roots wellHave used same color before with better results - didn't cover my roots very well. Even tried again after shampooing with leftover color and just didn't take. Will be rethinking buying this again.....was using to freshen roots between salon colors and it would get me a few weeks, but not this time, so ended up going back to salon the following week.
