Great colourI have generally always had my hair done at a salon. Then it became too expensive so was buying the box dyes. There was never enough, I have quite long thick hair. However I saw this and gave it a try. I chose my colour and then had a message with advice about it being a lot darker than I was. So I followed the advice given, and it was dark enough. The packaging is lovely and safe so never had a problem with spillages or damage. The instructions are really easy to follow too. I always find dying my own hair tricky, so I make sure I have lots of time to do it. Once on I generally have a 1/4 of a bottle left over and that's with a generous cover of dye applied. I find the next bit really messy, so I always stand in the shower for it. You have to fill the colour bottle up with water, run it over and then rub for 2-3 minutes. It does splash all over, but showers off the tiles fine. Then I wash it out as per instructions and voila it's done. Wonderful shiny new hair, like I've just walked out of a salon for less than half the price (if not more)! I also have the red tint for In-between but have only used it once, this is a good refresher. True to toneThis is my first color with esalon and i like it. I think the color is pretty true to what i was expecting and I’m very impressed that the medium blonde is actually medium blonde! So glad I got round to trying this colour....I bought this hair colouring kit in 2020, but for a variety of reasons, l wasn't able to use it straight away. I finally used it last week and I was very pleasantly surprised. The instructions were comprehensive and the product was easy to use. I wanted a medium strawberry blonde shade and this can be hard to achieve on 'grey' hair. (Which in my case is almost white) In the past, box colours have turned out too dark & 'muddy', or too light fading to a brassy yellowish colour. Initially I was sceptical about eSalon's claims that their product was superior to those available on the high street. However I was wrong! The shade is exactly as specified & the overall colour is very even. So far, it isn't fading anything like as fast as a home colour. Plus, of course, the eSalon shade can be 'tweaked' at any time, if required. For comparison - A decent UK box colour is about a third of the price of eSalon. However eSalon is about a third of the cost of a professional colour. Not correct.So, I’ve always dyed my own hair but decided I wanted better hair dye. This was my second box. I’m supposed to have black hair dye but my roots are red? Which is confusing because my natural hair is dark brown. Super disappointed considering the price.
