Not what I expectedI was excited to have a custom color made for me that I didn't have to pay a fortune for or sit through I salon session to receive. I hve an anxiety disorder and the salon is not an easy place for me. My hair is high maintenance for color as I have had sporadic grays since I was 19. I have always alternated between salons and box color since I started coloring my hair at 16. The product was nicely packaged and the instructions were typical and easy to follow. I found the product itself very runny and difficult to apply. I made a huge mess in my bathroom and I consider myself skilled with hair coloring as I have done everything from bleaching ro highlighting myself in the past. The color was darker than I expected and much more red. I had been going to a salon prior to this home color session and my hair was a faded purple mess, I was looking for a violet red color with a medium brown richness. What I got was dark brown hair with a hint of red when I went out in the sun. My hair only started to show violet again when it faded which happened after three washes. I use Joico shampoo and conditioner for corlored hair. I also got the purple tinted refresher from esalon and I will say that is a great product because without it my hair would not have looked ok after those three shampoos. After I rinsed the color from my hair it was like straw. The shampoo and conditioner provided did not help me get a comb through it. I had to use leave in conditioner inmy hair to make it feel somewhat normal. Color Doesn't Last After ShampooI have tried three orders so far. The color looks about right after the second shampoo. Unfortunately, after the third shampoo, the color fades quickly. For the price, I probably will look for a less expensive color because I am very grey and color frequently. Did not work for meThe product did not work for me at all, my grays still popped out even after waited longer than the time requested on the bottle because I know my hair is resistant to colors but I was determined to make it work and yet again I was disappointed. So I wore a wig to work for 3 days to give my hair a break before going back to Bigen because that's the only one that gives me some coverage. Not impressedI was hoping for something healthy for my hair, that covered well also. What I got was waxy covered hair, that was hard to wash out, and it made my hair feel awful. Not pleasedI will try again but this was too dark for me and so I rinsed it out before the time recommended and now have to re-order and pay yet again. Seems cheaper to just use Loreal from the store. good color for first few daysI really liked your product the first time I used it. The second was ok. However the 3rd and 4th time the color has faded quickly and looks too brassy.
