Something has changedI have been very pleased with the color of my custom hair color for over a year. However, the last 3 times that I have colored my hair, it feels awful when I'm washing it out. It feels like wax was dumped on my head and it won't rinse out. My hair feels like rubber. I have to shampoo it twice to soften it. It was perfect. I'm not sure why this is happening. Irritated my scalp but color seems lighterI think the color is different but it depends on the lighting. I did a before and after in same lighting so hard to tell. But the product irritated my scalp after about 15 minutes so I think I am back to the salon for selective highlights and not all over color. I think this works with gray or if you are trying to go darker or redder shades and you are not scalp sensitive. As for the color, I'll decide after a few days. I like the color as it is lighter and the red seems to be toned down. My hair also feels great! not as expectedI am sorry to say this time I was not pleased with the finished result. The previous time the colour had gone darker than the 1st use, however this time the colour was not even coppery it went a med/dark brown. It was so bad I cut my long hair to just above shoulder length to get rid of the darker ends. Since then I have had to add some red tone in the form of a semi- permanent colour as it was so dull. Horrible Color!!Colorist decided to change my chosen color to a "more flattering" color. It was a disaster. My reddish brown hair turned an ASH BLACK on the ends. The roots didn't take it as much. I look ridiculous and I am completely embarrassed. I am going to have to now pay a professional to fix this mess. I've NEVER had this problem with box color from the drugstore.
