Oozing colorWhile I was applying the color to my hair the bottle got really warm and started oozing out of the bottle on its own. When I rinsed The color as directed the color did not take to my hair. Called customer service on 11/20/2024 and was kept on hold for 10 mins and then was told their offices were currently closed. Opened chat and explained the situation and was told a confirmation for a free replacement had been emailed, however, the confirmation email only stated that my 'question' would be forwarded to the colorist. I don't have a question. I would like the defective product that I paid for to be replaced. My chat specialist then told me to contact the customer service number that had told me their offices were closed. I explained that I had already gone that route and their offices stated that they were currently closed. This is a simple fix. Be honest. Don't patronize your clients. How could esalon get it so badly wrong?Wanted medium golden brown and sent pictures of my current hair to ensure that the colour would be accurate. I was really excited to try this. I've used box colours successfully many times so I felt confident enough to colour at home. I followed the instructions step by step but the outcome was a very light golden brown. Customer service offered me a call with a colourist but I declined, I wasn't going to risk paying for another box when this one was so wrong despite sending pictures. I've bought root spray to cover until I can get this sorted. SO SAD.......So, I was really excited about finally dying my hair, since I have been a bit down on myself and have not dyed it in over 3 months... It took me about a year to get my copper color exactly where I wanted it... I saw the combination that the colorist here made me for and it looked like it was going to be just what I asked for! I died my hair as soon as I got it yesterday! I was tracking it! Washed my hair Saturday so I could be ready for it Monday... After doing everything and straightening my hair, I am so sad to say my hair is so dark... It is literally brown... It is not copper, it is no where near close to what I asked for, nor the picture I sent for comparison... I will probably have to lighten my hair AGAIN to get it to where I want it, which I am so sad about because my hair is finally healing and not I have to add damage to it... No root coverageReally disappointed with custom colour. No root coverage despite following instructions to the letter for application and timing. Left rest of hair very brassy. Also such a strong chemical smell (ammonia?) DisappointedThis is the second time I give your product a try. First time was not at all what I was expecting. I was in the process of moving city when my personalized product arrived. I packed everything and couldn't find it until now. The color looks extremely faded and I just colored my hair today. So I guess I will redo it in about 2 weeks using the product I buy at Walmart. My hair is orange like a clownI've been a redhead my whole life. Their color made my hair turn blonde, so I wanted to cancel, so they asked if they could send me a free color. I just used the free one, after bing charged for yet another, and I look like a clown, I specified natural light auburn. I look like Ronald McDonald. I'm livid. The color was also full of ammonia.
