love it!i use product for my roots - wash that grey outta my hair and product will last till my nxt shipmnt (in 30 days) verses root touch-up only last 2 weeks. Thank you eSalon. Excellent coverageClear instructions; easy to apply; excellent overall coverage (I have resistant grey at front and sides); lifted roots well; colour consistent through whole head of long hair. Colour stays well, even in Arizona sunshine, it is resisting fading. Fairly idiot-proof product ... I am not the best at hair colouring, but it would be hard to fail with such a good product and clear instructions. PERFECT Color!I needed a correction from a BAD COLOR CHOICE I made a few months ago. All the OTC products I used just made it worse and more brassy. I had ZERO confidence buying this product but I had a coupon and thought "this is the last thing I'll try before crying to my hairdresser" . . . but it worked! WOW!Years ago I did at home boxed color on my hair which was OK. Since I wanted something different I started going to an Aveda salon and stuck with it for years. It is so gentle on hair. However it was quite costly and not kind on my budget. After reading online reviews and seeing what I was spending at Aveda, eSalon "custom color" was something I was willing to try. My first order came and I did a strand test. Thank heavens I did! Not for me. Too vibrant. I called eSalon and told them exactly what was wrong. The person was extremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable. To my delight there was no charge for the color adjustment and it arrived within days. I did another strand test and knew we hit a home run when I asked a friend of mine to pick out my strand test hair. She could not. I followed my gut and did the touch up on my roots as directed and then I mixed only half of the bottle of the glossy second bottle for the ends. I proceeded to pull that color in to my existing hair as highlights since my desire is to get more red back into my hair but not all at once. I did not want everybody to know that I was changing my hair back to the reddish color that I love. It turned out gorgeous. I am slowly going to continue to add more red in my existing color during additional applications. I am so pleased I cancelled all my standing appointments at my Aveda Salon and eSalon is now my salon! I cannot say enough about the service and the knowledgeable staff of this company. LOVE this!!!I am a natural redhead and always feared the time I would have enough gray in my hair that I needed to color. I love my natural color and didn't want to lose it. It can be hard to not end up either orange or burgundy. The only way I had found to give me a natural color with gray coverage had been in a salon...which was SO expensive! After I heard about eSalon I waited months before I got the courage to try it. I was so afraid that I would end up with a color I hated! Finally, after another expensive salon visit, I decided to bite the bullet and place an order. I fully expected to have to tweak my color a few times before it was something I could live with, but was ready to give it a go. When my order arrived, I was very impressed with the professional packaging and the OCD part of me loved the organized and well labeled way that everything was presented. My custom instructions were clear and easy to follow, making my application stress free. The color that resulted was EXACTLY what I wanted! I have to admit that I was surprised to not only get such a beautiful, natural color, but that it happened in the first attempt. The shampoo and conditioner packets that came with the color left my hair so soft and healthy feeling too! That was back in December of 2014 and I've been using the same color formulation ever since. Having auto ship set up is so convenient and the few times I've had to adjust my ship date to accommodate a vacation or event have been super easy. I've saved a fortune in salon costs and honestly don't see any difference in the quality of the color or the condition of my hair. True Salon ResultsI am soooo impressed with the color results as well as customer support. My hair had been in terrible shape fine thin fried and wavy. The only way I could get even results was going to a salon. I couldn't afford it anymore. I tried this and my hair felt better! This was after I dyed it. I had not done my color properly and I showed them next I knew they sent me a free color and refunded me for the first time. I've continued to use the colors adjusting each time, skipped some shipments, added or deleted things last minute and I have referred everyone. Very happy!I have been box coloring my hair for years and loved the quiz aspect of esalon before choosing the color. I tried it out completely unsure of what I would get. When my box arrived I was BEYOND impressed with the packaging. It was so so so adorable and customized for me. I color by hair red and was trying a "golden pearl". The color is a little thinner than others I have used in the past but I had plenty of product to cover my hair. I have read some reviews saying it was hard to wash out and that is literally how it is with any box dyes. The color is a little more brown than blonde but I am still happy with it! Color over 50Sooo much better than store bought and much more affordable than the salon. My hair is glossy and healthy looking. My only concern is my color was a bit too dark this time but that may have been applicator error.
