Incredible customer serviceI chose the wrong colour for myself and sent a message simply for an adjustment on the following set and was so impressed by the response. My colour was changed to one I now love and I was sent the colour for the ends free again since it was going to be different even though it was my mistake in the wrong colour selection and nothing to do with the service. Third time is a charmWith my first order I was not impressed at all with the gray coverage or the texture of my hair. The second order arrived damaged and I received a replacement promptly. I was still on the fence but my third application after adjustments made by my stylist blew me away. The first time I have ever colored my own hair with absolutely no brassiness, even in the bright sunshine. Perfect coverage, and it looks completely natural. My hair is also soft and shiny! Perfect right out of the gateI was devastated when my L’Oréal color (red penny) was discontinued so I decided to give esalon a try in the hopes that I could find a match. I was able, with the help of their colorists, find a perfect match and it covers resistant grays much better and generally is a more quality product. Convert to home colouringThe presentation of your kit is so nice, feels special. Liked the inclusion of a handy sticker to stick your instructions to the mirror, sounds small but all these touches help to make the process easier if you have a small en-suite. (Id even go as far and say a suction plug on the back of the timer would be a great idea). But more importantly the colour itself produces excellent results. I had a lot of golden highlights on dark brown hair and the the colour dyed them away evenly. I felt I’d gone too dark though (originally ordered dark brown but have switched to medium for future orders) so I just continued to wash my hair with a clarifying shampoo for 4 days and some of my golden highlights have peeked through which has accidentally provided a very nice multidimensional tone to my hair. Have added a red tone neutraliser to my next order to keep on top of any unwanted tones. No more store bought hair color for me!I seen this advertisement on a site i was on and decided to try eSalon, Ive been coloring my hair since I was 18, I used Nice and Easy 98 or 101, the reason I started is bc my natural hair color is dirty dish water blond and I hated it, well Ill be turning 55 in aug and have seen white not grey hair up front like my dad did ,well I decided to go back to my natural hair color and i took the hair quiz and they sent me exactly the color I wanted! Dark blknd with gold under tones, Im glad they sent 2 bottles, one for roots and one for the ends, my hair goes to me tail bone its that long i had to use the whole 2nd bottle! I absolutely recommend this website to anyone looking for a new hair coloring option, as for me, I'm sticking with eSalon! BTW excellent customer service too! Definitely better than box dyeI ordered a custom colour to try to get a bit closer to my natural dark ash blonde/light ash brown, as a lot of store bought dyes, regardless of being neutral or ash, leave a lot of warmth (red and gold tones) in my hair. I ordered a permanent light ash brown from esalon and the kit arrived quickly and the presentation was lovely, with very clear instructions. I was a little concerned that the instructions had said to apply to my roots first to process for 20 minutes and then only to my mid lengths and ends for 5 minutes, but I followed these directions and the end result was great with even coverage. The dye washed out well leaving my hair in a good condition and I was very happy with the result. If I re-order I will ask for more 'ash' to be added as 5 weeks later the colour has faded with more warmth showing through again, but nothing a red neutralising toner can't fix (esalons Soft Red Neutraliser is great for this). I'm yet to come across any any hair dye, professional or otherwise, that doesn't fade over time so don't let that put you off. Overall I was very pleased with the service and colour - the personalisation, especially of the instructions, is great. Bonus points that the kit comes with everything you need including a decent pair of gloves and not those bag-like ones you get in store bought box dyes.
