Harsh Chemicals and Wrong ColorMy hair is naturally a golden reddish brown and I decided to change it to a dark browish purple. I was provided a devloper and liquid color. The process is easy and the packaging looks nice. I followed all of the instructions and I've done my hair multiple times by myself. My stylist usually just mixes product for me and I apply it. (she's a close friend) Well I was busy and she was away so I tried this out. When I went to rinse the product my hair felt like straw!!! I had to use my Aveda moisture rich shampoo and deep conditioner right away bc it was super brittle!! I spoke to my stylist and told her what happened and she said IN NO WAY THIS A SALON STYLE PRODUCT. She said this is color from a Sallys or beauty salon. She said they should have only used a 6 on my ends and a 10 on my roots. They used a 20 and now my hair is BLACK. I'm cancelling my next order and will not use them again. I was hoping for moreI've been getting my hair colored for over 30 years, both at home and in a salon. For the past 15 years, it's been exclusively at the salon. Since I'm starting to get grey hair, I wanted to try out the improved at home options. After careful consideration, I selected a color and ordered from eSalon.com. I had considered another brand for at home color, but I found eSalon's questionnaire to be more complete so I felt more confident in getting the right color. The product was packaged beautifully and was shipped quickly. The instructions were detailed and the application wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. When I dried my hair, I would have rated this a 4 star product. Th reason that I'm giving this a one star review is that the colored faded to a "blah" color within a 8 days. I used to wash my hair everyday, but now that I'm getting older, I can easily go every two or three days. I can't even imagine how flat and washed out that the color will be in a few more washes. I was looking for a convenient at home color option to last 6-8 weeks, but this isn't going to work for me. I will likely try the other brand that's been showing up on my Facebook feed for women over 40 to see if their color will last longer. Perhaps with virgin hair this might be a good option, but it wasn't for me. Way to darkI love how it's made for me- but I really was expecting it to be much lighter my hair has never been this dark ever. When I let you all know you went out of the way to replace with lighter colors for no charge! This will keep me coming back- the fact that you are guaranteeing I will love it- the tips you gave to help get the color out are great! Cannot wait to try new color! You have a member for life!
