Two Shades Darker...........Now what do I do?I have been touching up my own roots in between professional hair coloring for 10 years. According to my colorist, I have become great at it. With salons in my area of California closed since March 12th, I felt I needed to do more than touch up my color. I filled out everything on eSalon and even sent them pictures taken in great light that perfectly captured my color. I am a professional who is blessed enough to still have a job and am on video calls all day with a professional camera and lighting that are often my close up. My hair came out 2 shades darker! This is really a problem for me as I have gray roots on the crown of my head as well as below my temples. Now they will show in a few days given the dramatic contrast. And. I have no alternative but to maintain this terribly too dark color until professional salons open again. It is really upsetting to me and I have no idea how such a dramatic mistake could be made. I don't know the point of sending in a picture if they are going to mix something so dramatically different. When I filled out the feedback form, they did reply immediately with an offer for free color and suggestions to use either a clarifying shampoo or a color stripper which shows they are completely insensitive to the situation. Many of us live in areas where we cannot get either color or a cut. How can you suggest people use damaging processes to correct your huge mistake when who knows when they will be able to get their roots cut off? I am very surprised others have had such good results and mine are so bad. Perhaps a new employee? Whatever it was, I am now faced with endless touch ups every two weeks at minimum to maintain this way too dark hair for my skin color until professional salons open to help me solve the problem. 0 de 0 personas encontraron este comentario útil. ¿Y tú? |

Brassy is bad :(I wrote to my colorist, “beware I tend to get very brassy.” I am naturally a dishwater blonde, but I typically got heavy ashy blonde highlights every 6 weeks. I was very excited to try this home color service. I’ve never colored my hair from home before. I was looking forward to saving time, money AND being able to color from home during the pandemic..... The marketing of the product is fantastic and it was easy to use. Once I finished and dried my hair the color looked terrible, it is more of an dark brassy orange. When I saw a friend she asked if I’ve been washing my hair in iron water. A good kit, but should have stuck to my guns on the colour I pickedThe kit that comes with it is good. The 2 pairs of gloves (although may be a little tight if you had large hands), the stain remover and guard etc all great. I like the style of the packaging and how quick its received. But let's be real, this product is really about the colour you get. I sent a photo, I wrote about what I wanted, but expressed I was flexible because I don't know about their shades and they're supposed to be experts. I don't use permanent colours usually, I use a semi permanent every now and then when my greys get on my nerves, but it had been a while. My ends had lightened a bit in the sun (given how much we've had and the fact that covid meant I'd had more time to spend in it) and they'd got a copper tiny due to my ginger relatives. I said I wanted a dark brown, clicked the shade and was advised alway from it. The instructions wanted more time spent on my roots ( even though they are the darkest part of my hair). The dye was on my end for 10 mins, plus a wash with the left overs, so you can still see some copper tones shining through. Its nice in the sense it looks natural, but I've basically got my own hair colour back. Falsche FarbeIch sollte ein dunkelblond bekommen. Haben wollte ich helles blond aber hier wurde ich beraten, dass dies mit der Abdeckung der grauen Haare nicht gehen würde. Nun bin ich super dunkel mit rot. Sieht fast aus wie schwarz mit rot. So sah ich noch nie aus. Grauenvoll. Jede Farbe aus der Drogerie war bisher besser. Not at all what I requested, frustrated with the whole process.I did a strand test last night as soon as my color kit arrived. I wanted a color that would be a mahogany or brownish red. I spent multiple days going back and forth through email with my colorist. This back and forth was prompted my a message I sent, explaining that I was "panicked" about the color I chose and was seeking professional guidance. The first colorist I spoke to was very understanding and explained that to achieve the color I wanted, I needed a color fill first since my hair is light. She made me feel better that the color could be tweaked so it wouldn't turn out too red or too orange. Then I was set up with another colorist in the middle of my exchange with the first one. I was unclear on whether the new colorist felt the same way about approach as the first, reviewed our correspondence etc. I tried to clarify all this with the second colorist through email. I explained that I reached our originally because I wasn't sure if the color I selected would give me the results I wanted based on the pictures I shared and my current color. This person was not forthcoming with any details regarding if my color needed to be adjusted, if there was any customization that would take place due to my vocalized fears etc. She just repeated that the color I chose was the right choice and I would be happy. The color kit I received did contain two bottles of color but they were the same color, didn't seem to be a fill color to darken my hair to get it ready for red. Thank goodness I watched the esalon videos on how to do a strand test. In contrast with my inspo pictures I shared with my colorist (Emma Stone red, brown hair, and others), what I got was a rosy, pinky blonde color that was very off putting, unnatural and nothing at all like the pictures I sent. I am very thankful that I did not apply to the rest of my hair.
