Didn't do much!Sad to say my first experience wasn't the greatest. I had high hopes because my hair was actually back to it's original color (dishwater blonde) so I thought going light ash blonde would have been easier than in the past. I asked for light ash blonde, sent a picture and followed the instructions to a T! It barely looks like I did anything. My hair is still what I would call a dark to medium dishwater blonde, not "light" at all. My darkest roots have the peroxide lightened blonde look (brassy) but that's about the only change. On the bright side, being a long time blonde both from a salon and at home, it could have been A LOT worse and I'm glad it did less than expected rather than making my hair crazy bright orange or yellow. The smell wasn't bad for an at home coloring either and even though I have longish hair, I only ended up using one bottle of each instead of two! Wrong color/highlightsI specifically requested alight (golden) brown with No Red highlights! When I followed all the directions, my hair was a dark reddish brown. It covered the 3 inches I had grown out during the pandemic. The tint rinse I used after increased the reddish color. The new shipment that’s yet to arrive is supposed to be applied only to the new roots...I’m afraid I’ll end up with “zebra stripes” on my hair.
