Bad Instructions, Bad ColorFirst attempt at home root color after years of salon visits. Carefully ordered color (dark brown with gold). Order info online specifically said to avoid applying to already colored ends because it would make them too dark. But then printed insert included with dye said that it was necessary to massage color through to ends for 3 minutes and that it was critical NOT to skip this step. Welp I paid a premium for custom color, I thought. Massaging through to ends must be a custom instruction too? Nope! I now have brown roots with jet black ends. Do not try this at home!Terrible service. I submitted photographs, completed questionnaire and wrote a note regarding color correction. The color formula I was sent was not even close to my hair color in my photographs. It turned my natural medium ash blond hair red. A second color correction was sent. This made my hair turn orange. Not the colour I wanted at all.The kit was nice and the instructions easy. I have naturally med brown hair. I ordered dark blonde which was one of the lightest shades esalon would allow. I followed the instruction and my hair looks the same except it has a red tinge to it. I do not like it at all. I especially don't like the red tint. Colour mixed into Grey toneI am Naturally dark blonde with mid light complexion, light freckles light blue eyes. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in the color percentage combination on the chart, which After mixing color it turned grey, it did not go towards a light white color that I’m used to seeing before any of my blonde highlights color application - I had to take great pause to consider applying this mix to my hair. Especially taking an extreme risk that and did not want the finish color to look dark ashen grey. This was not what I was going for, the color mixed together gave my husband and I an uneasiness that would give a very less than attractive desired results.! Custom color setWell at first I wasn’t sure if I liked the color but after a while I decided I did like the color. I sent 3 email asking for a specific colour and I got the wrong oneHi , Very disappointed. I was in contact with 2 different consultant and I was very clear regarding my request: “ ash “ blonde . They suggested to me to change the colour and I said yes but need to be “ash” even if it is dark but I want cover my “ red roots “. I got the wrong colour and I am still waiting for an answer!I spoke with 2 different consultant and I was very clear about my request : “ ash “ blonde to cover my red roots .
