If you feel you have been losing significantly more than this, you may have had an allergic reaction. Barely any change, and the colour it did leave is awfulI wanted so badly to like this, I was so excited to add a coppery tone to my medium brown hair. Let me also start by saying that as a brunette, I knew the colour wouldn’t be a vivid ginger. However, this product somehow managed to not only transfer hardly any colour at all, but has in fact made my overall hair darker! I wanted a warm, gingery copper, and made a note asking please don’t give any purple or wine tint. But that’s exactly what I got. My hair is now even darker than before and in the light it is dark purple! The directions were also misleading, and maybe this is where I went wrong. The roots needed 15 minutes to develop according to my instructions, but I have a lot of hair so it took me a long time to actually finish with them anyway. And then, it took me longer than 15 minutes to coat my ends, so by the time I had, I was worried about my roots over developing and yet there was no information/time to let my ends saturate. the color was not what I wanted,I ask for a color to match the white gray coming in and was colored a blonde instead. Lately the colors have not been the best shades. But I just use it as I do not have the time to do all this reporting. But I have seen a difference as when I first started. Custom color setThe color was a perfect match. I colored on May 3rd. Gray already coming back. Didn't last 6 weeks, barely made. 7/19/2022: I received the the color and dyed my hair. This one works perfectly for me. The adjustment made to my personalized color was great. I would recommend eSalon to anyone that would like to use a color perfectly designed for them. ADDENDUM: I colored my hair again on July 9th withthelatestadjustmentmade to my color. I thought the color was supposed to last for six weeks, it barely made 3 weeks. Can't even part or pull back my hair without grays. I still have 1 to use, but it's the same as the one I just used. I think I'll just go back to what I've been using. Formula has definitely changed.I've been a long time customer and at first I thought it was my imagination but I can see that the formula has definitely changed. Barely covers my gray hairs any more and the color used to last 3 to 4 weeks, now I'm lucky if it lasts 2 weeks. Unfortunately, it's just not the same. I hate to leave a negative review because you got me through the pandemic without having to show my gray hair growth. Thank you for that. Color FadingI was super excited to try this product because I have had a positive experience with their at-home highlights kits! I have been washing my hair with salon-quality shampoo and conditioner made for colored hair, but my color is still viably washing out of my hair. My scalp and top sections have lightened significantly since using the permanent color on my hair. Gorgeous color at 51 years old. UPDATE...2021I have been a box color girl since age 17 years old. Twice a year I would go spend the 300.00 to have the salon freshen things up. At 23 years old I was 90% grey and coloring every 3 weeks. I was skeptical on this service however I wish I had done this years ago. My first application came out beautiful . The color was a bit lighter than I like however my second application has a slight adjustment and I'm actually looking forward to apply this. I used to dread it. The auto ship will enable me to have salon quality hair ALWAYS. no more in between hats for me. My hair is in great condition and love love love the product. We have tweaked this formula a few times and finally we seemed to have nailed it Great customer service and great products . UPDATE: I have been a loyal customer since 2019. So far we have made 6 adjustments to my color. It always seems to come resort back to a strawberry blonde after 2nd washing. I have used esalon shampoo and conditioner..I've used the co -wash ..on days I don't wash I use a shower cap to ensure hot water doesn't effect the color. Staff is great at adjustments and support. I have received and will be using my newest adjustments today and see how it turns out. I have to admit..I received my color package damaged this year and esalon was quick to replace it. Thank goodness. The strange thing was it was the best color I have had sine the very beginning. Not sure why it was different than usual but I would definitely love that one again.
