Highlights Devoured my ColorI recently ordered the lights lab to add highlights to my hair. I was a little cautious, so I watched your youtube video a couple times, watched a few other videos and finally felt comfortable to try it out. My hair color was a medium brown with a hint of red to begin with. I carefully added the highlights to my hair according to the video and waited the proper amount of time until it was to be finished. rinsed, shampooed and used the toner. Took the towel off to take a look-see and O.M.G!!! Except for my roots, and a few locks here and there, My whole head was a strawberry blonde!! Ummm? What just happened? I know I didn't paint the lightener all over everywhere!!! But it sure grabbed onto all my hair and took it over... Don't know what to really do now? Loved the colour but what a mess!I tried eSalon hair colour and loved the colour that was selected for me, but I have never used a hair colourant that was so messy to use! The solution was far too liquid, and it was not as easy to apply as I thought, with hindsight it should have been a two person job. When it came to rinsing the solution off until it ran clear 15 minutes later I was still rinsing and the colour had splattered everywhere in the bathroom! When I came to dry my hair it felt wet in parts and I realised there was still some of the colourant on my hair so I had to wash it again. I was really disappointed with the process and I don't want to go through that again, nor do I want to have to completely clean my bathroom every time I colour my hair. I wanted to like it but I just wasn't impressed...I wanted to love the product but even with two bottles it wasn't enough for my hair... and I wouldn't say my hair is super long (maybe a few inches past my shoulders). It is thick but I mentioned that in the questionnaire, so if they had suggested a third bottle I would have done it. But let's face it, three bottles worth won't really save me much money (as opposed to going to my hair dresser). Not enoughI have always received 2 bottles in the past (1 for roots and 1 for the rest). This time I got 1 bottle which was not enough for my whole head. Loved the color; hated the conditioner!I ordered eSalon for the first time in 2015 and just got around to using it. While I loved the custom color results, I absolutely HATED the conditioner. It made my hair feel heavy and extremely oily, instead of its usual silkiness. Even after several rinsings, the product stayed in my hair, creating an unpleasant sticky feeling that also caused residual color to cling to my hands during brushing. Not what I wantedAfter my first color I received an email asking me if the color was correct or did I like and I said no it was not red enough. Wanted more red than brown. I was provided with some type of gloss, still not what I wanted. When the next order came out I was not even asked if I wanted to change it or how I liked it and it was just sent.
