A little dark, needed time to try it twice,I liked the kit and all the supplies included, this helped as I did not need to buy more items. The specifically mixed color ended up being too dark for my preference, but its a chance to go a little opposite and darker brown. I did not use it correctly the first time. I have used it twice now and the instructions are a little different from other hair color brands. I did it better the 2nd time. Everything Was Awesome But the ColorI am so bummed I don't like the color - I really loved everything else about the kit that I received. So nice to have everything at my fingertips - including the gel and the wipe to help prevent/deal with staining, the directions were simple, everything was so quality. I even love the shine of the color, it's so lovely, but I just don't like the color itself. It doesn't seem to have tonality to me - it's a flat brown and I expected a more vibrant color - especially when it shines so wonderfully. Great color, bad directionsSince I have colored my hair before, the directions said to apply color to my roots only and add color to the rest in the shower for 2-3 minutes. This resulted in my roots being a different color from my ends. I contacted customer service and they sent me a complimentary shipment. Great color/washes out fastI love the color it matches my hair color perfectly,but doesn’t last. After one wash I can already see my roots. And I used your shampoo and conditioner. Made no difference to my colourFollowed the instructions to the letter but it made no difference to my colour whatsoever. I was hoping for ashy brown (Ash Pearl) hair, but I still have dark roots with lighter/reddy ends. I've asked for another batch to see if leaving it on for longer makes a difference (the pack only allowed 15 minutes development time in total) and will update my review once I've heard back from customer service. Blimey - that's customer service - a phone call within 5 minutes and another free pack on the way! Terrible inconsistent color, stinky product, bad customer serviceThe color turned out a horrible bright orange and was all blotchy and the root coverage didn't even cover my roots. I saw nowhere that their guarantee was only good for 30 days, my first two emails were ignored and I was signed up for autoship which I did not want. On top of this it was a super huge pain to apply (much worse than any other home color I've used). DisappointedI ordered this and applied it as directed. The color was a runny mess. It kept running down my face as I applied it and got into my eye and burned. Not to mention the stains it left all over my face, neck and arms. It also ruined by bath rug as it was running faster than I could clean it up. Made a mess of my shower. I have never used a product that was so runny to use. My color came out very dark. Not what I thought it would be. I would appreciate a refund and maybe some information of what could have happened with this color. Thank you. **UPDATE: Esalon refunded my money and was so accommodating.
