Wrong ColourAfter reading so many positives reviews I couldn't help but give eSalon a try. But as the saying goes - if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. The packaging was gorgeous, the product came nearly a week early, the instructions seemed a little off to me .. my hair was black, colour stripped and redyed so rather red in colour. I needed to neutralize the red and get back to my natural ash dark blonde. Instructed to leave dye on my roots alone for upwards of 30 minutes despite already being the colour I was attempting to get to and a whopping 3 minutes on the rest of my hair and not as straight due but as diluted and washed in as if it were a shampoo didn't seem like long enough to both neutralize the red tones and correct the colour. Let alone do so evenly. Despite my uncertainty I did just that and sure enough I now have a caramel light brown head that is horribly inconsistent rather than a nice dark ash blonde throughout. Confused to receive the incorrect color againI was really disappointed with my most recent color set. I have ordered three different times so far: the first time, the color was not exactly what I was looking for (but the directions were easy to follow, the product was of good quality, and I was happy with the results for the most part), so I left notes for the next shipment; the second color set I received was perfect! I could tell that the colorists read and considered my notes, and sent me exactly what I was looking for - I was stoked! For some reason, this third set I received was a similar color to the first again...and the directions advised me to color ONLY my roots, then pull color through the rest of my hair at the very end. I was glad that I decided to pull color through a bit sooner than that, because when I was finished washing and drying my hair, my roots were definitely a different color than the rest of my hair (and not even the color I was hoping for). :( I was really thrilled with my results from the second order I placed, and want to continue with that exact formula every time. Not sure what happenedAfter my recent color with the new packaging the texture of my hair was not right. Usually my thick hair becomes silky and this time it was like I could not get the product out of my hair. It wasway to dark .. I have been coloring my hair for the last 30 years so I kinda know the process by now. The product was good and had ease of application however, the color itself was way to dark.
