Left horrible waxy residue!Unfortunately it ended up turning out a waayyy darker shade of brown than I was expecting, and despite shampooing/conditioning/rinsing very thoroughly til the water ran clear, my hair had this weird waxy texture that lasted for over 3 days - even after getting a haircut and professionally shampooed in a salon. Very disappointed in how this turned out, I was hoping it would be an improvement from my first order. I don’t know what went wrong, I followed the instructions exactly. I requested a refund because eSalon states "If you are not completely satisfied with your eSalon products, at your choice, we will either send you a new hair color formulation (or replacement hair care product) or issue a refund for your purchased items." Unfortunately what I didn't know is that they only issue a CREDIT refund to use on other items in their store. You can't actually get your money refunded. BlahThe color was supposed to cover the new growth/grey in my natural dirty/dark blonde color but turned it to a copperish-brownish color. The previously-highlighted portion went a darkish blonde color as expected but with a green tinge. If I counteract the red with a purple shampoo it will mess up the greenish ends. If I counteract the green with the ketchup trick it will make the red roots worse. I love the formula, but....I have thick hair and found that this wasn’t enough for me to coat my whole head. The color was exactly what I asked and I love it! NOT SATISFIEDHair looks horrible! Gray roots 10 times lighter than rest of hair. Followed directions start to finish. The color of my roots is pinkish while the rest is the correct color I am looking for. It is eggplant color. I'm not at all happy with it. My 50th Class Reunion is in less than 3 weeks.
