SlimyIt's been a week that I colored my hair, and I still have flashbacks about trying to rinse it out! I followed the instructions to the letter but when it came to rinsing it out, it was awful! No change in colorI am very upset that I put dye on my hair just for it to look exactly the same. Yes, my hair is dark, but I put that information in and also uploaded pictures of my current hair assuming the colorist knew what they were doing. So if my hair was too dark to be colored I would have hoped someone would explain that to me. Did not cover my gray hairI’m very disappointed with the outcome of my hair coloring. The grey roots were not completely covered and to top it off the color that did stay is a reddish brassy red. I absolutely hate the red and in my original comment as I was filling up my initial order was how much I hated getting a reddish hue. I also indicated that I have hard to color grey hairs. Very disappointed in products and customer serviceI have a lot of gray and from the get-go, I told esalon I needed permanent color to combat the grays. After a couple months, I was still noticing my grays coming through soon after application (even washing with cold water and doing ALL the things that you’re supposed to do to get long lasting color), so I reached out and come to find out esalon is sending me temporary color. In what world is temporary color used to cover gray? None. They switched it to permanent after I reached out twice unhappy and guess what, shocker, I still was unhappy with the coverage. Something has changed!I have loved eSalon hair coloring and have always had great results up until the last shipment. I have my hair dye on auto ship for every 10 weeks and I can normally go over those 10 weeks without noticing my gray showing before the next coloring. With the new formula, my gray is already showing and my next shipment has not even been shipped out yet. The product is not lasting as long on this new formula. I have added the hair tent to my order in case this happens with the next shipment. But, I will not continue to order the product if it is not going to cover my gray like it did before this last shipment. The benefit of coloring my hair myself is to save money. Didn't really cover the grayI had two concerns, one was gray coverage and another brassy or pulling red/orange like my hair does. The hair around my face which had the product on the longest didn't get the gray coverage I expected and where it did color looks mighty coppery for a "cool" color. Time will tell how many washing the color lasts through. My hair did not feel soft when I was done even after using the conditioner that came with it. On my order, I did specify that my hair pulled orange and didn't receive any feedback before my order shipped.
