Did not lastI was excited to do my hair at home and avoid the time at the salon. The color looked good, I was happy with the color choice. Unfortunately after the very first wash, the color came out only to reveal the gray. It was more like a temporary color treatment. Doesn’t workI didn’t get the result after following every single detail provided on the instruction. As i was trying to cancel, it offered to send a new formula to get the result. Totally DissatisfiedI chose an "Auburn" shade called Mahogany, based on the photo which appeared to have lots of ruby red tones. When I received my kit, the colour I received was called Dark Brown (Mahogany) and the little chart showed that it contained mostly dark brown, with some mahogany, and a little bit of copper. I worried that it would be far too dark, and far too brown, with not enough of the red I was hoping for, so I contacted the company via email and expressed those concerns. They assured me it had been custom blended for me, and it should be perfect. I contacted them again to ask how I could review my order to compare the colour I had viewed to the one I received (because I was still skeptical), then contacted them again, to reiterate that it still seemed far too dark brown. I was told again about all of their thousands of colours and how they are custom blended. I went ahead and used the kit, following the directions. My hair is very dark brown. It's shiny. There is not much red. I am very dissatisfied. When I contacted the company to tell them about this experience, they responded with a form email that began, "We're sorry to see you go..." I am dissatisfied with the shoddy customer service, and with the colour result. I have been using drugstore dye on my hair for close to 25 years. I've never had such an inaccurate result ~ and I've never spent this much on it! I decided, since I was stuck at home, I would splurge, and give my self a really nice salon-type of experience, and customize my colour to exactly what I wanted. What a joke. I would describe the colour result I got as "Espresso." It's not a terrible colour, but it is most certainly not the colour I chose, and I knew it the moment I saw the kit. People working in customer service should listen to customers, and do their job. I did that job for years. Sometimes, a company gets something wrong, and you have to fix a mistake. Third time lucky! But unfortunately still not right!Its SUCH a shame. I LOVE receiving these boxes. The quality of the product is very high. My hair always feeling nourished and shiny and like i have had a salon treatment after use. The thing is though the colour. I have tried now three times and its just not right, if i were in the hairdressers it would be easier to have this rectified. I honestly wish it was right as i would be ordering every single month without fail! The first time i ordered it was very very ginger, closer to orange and the strand test (thank god for strand tests!) made me realise before i put it all over my hair. The second colour i ordered was very dark. I am still wondering if this was an error in production as it should NEVER have been as dark as it was, as after colouring it again with the third one i ordered i still have a darker ring around my head from the second attempt. Its such a shame as i love the product, its wonderful, if the colour had been what i wanted then i would be on that standing order without fail, and telling all my friends to do the same. The only thing stopping me is i havent got the colour i really wanted, and i do have a darker ring around my head from the previous colour.
