Bright orange from medium ash blondeI ordered medium ash blonde and ended up with vivid orange hair. It was the worst color I've ever used. I've had better results with the $2.97 box color. Never had so much orange with any hair color after 30+ years of coloring my own hair. Definitely my worst hair color purchase ever. $22 down the drain. I spent another $15 on professional toner trying to get the worst of the bright orange out. Worst hair color!I dyed my hair with this customed hair color set and my hair burnt!!!!! This is so weird because I’m dying my hair every 3 weeks for 20 years and this has never happened to me before! So sadI wanted eSalon to work for me. I asked them to please create the Color I wanted/needed. and they tried. I really believe they did. Questionable serviceReally wanted to love this because of all the good reviews I read, but I can’t say the whole experience is great. I wanted to color my overall hair but they only sent me one bottle for the roots. They say that root touch up is a system default. They quickly fixed this by sending me a second complimentary bottle (which should’ve been in the first shipment) but it took 10+ days to receive. So I’ve had two different colors on my hair this whole time but I waited patiently. Then when I received the second bottle for my length, it is exactly the same formula as the first bottle. Now, my roots were significantly darker than my length, which is very clear in the pictures I sent them. For the color I wanted, my roots would need to be lighter and my length slight darker. If they were the professionals they promised to be, why would the two formulas be exactly the same? At least the second bottle would be a different volume developer. But what do I know? They are the professionals. This whole experience just makes me wonder if someone really looked at my pictures and “customized” the formula? Or is this all just system default? It’s interesting how system default is set to root touch up only. Even though in the questionnaire that wasn’t my answer. I followed the instructions anyways. It came out just ok. Not great, not terrible. But dark brown is such a forgiving color, I doubt things can go terribly wrong. By the way, some reviews mention it doesn’t have a bad smell. Color did not cover roots as reviews raved about it doing soI will be giving this a 2nd chance . I just colored my roots and the color had to be sent in via text to adjust my color. I didnt get the grey coverage that I get in a salon. The comparison I can give is that of a box dye that I buy at Walmart.
