Great idea in theory...I compliment the company on their idea. However, trying to match my color on line just did not work. I am a red head by bottle and my colorist sent me a bottle of light brown with red highlights that did not cover my grey wisps. So, disappointed and depressed, I don't even want to look in the mirror. The products were good quality, my hair is soft, little to no bad smell. For $29.99 you would think they could throw in a small plastic trash bag? I am going back to my OTC color and save $10. The Colorist Ignored EverythingBeware that eSalon does not appear to read the requests of its clients, which is sad because I used this company 5 years or so ago and had a good experience. For example -- and I use this because it's a great example that it was not my fault -- my hair had no dye in it. I explained that. What did I get? A root kit and an ends kit. But there were no roots! Why would I need two different sets of dye when all of my hair was "virgin" hair??? One color should have been created. That's just an example of just how much eSalon did not care what I said. The color was horrid and nothing like I wanted, which was basically just the color I had. I just wanted to cover up the whites that were popping up. When I called just now to explain the situation, the customer service representative said, "I cannot work with you if you are going to be negative about the colorist." Messy product - Color flat - Added to auto ship program w/o my permissionThe color was okay, but turned out flat, not shiny like most hair colors do. When applying and rinsing, the consistency is weird and it gets everywhere. Then a month later we received another box. When I ordered, I specifically chose a single trial. I did not sign up for an auto membership. I would never have even tried your product if I knew this was a thing. So now I have to go through the mess of trying to get it credited and returned.
