Color Formula PerfectionThe questionnaire was a great starting place, but what really helped my stylist was the pictures I posted of my hair before coloring. She contacted me and double checked to make sure I wanted such a dark color. After talking it over with the stylist over the phone, we agreed upon a slightly lighter shade to start and I am so grateful! The color I chose would have been way too dark! My color now is perfect! My hair is soft and shiny after coloring and the color does not fade hardly at all after 6 weeks. I have a lot of grey and this covers it all! Great color!I loved everything about my order. The color was perfect and the box full of everything you need made it very easy to do myself. Not so great....After using this hair dye, my hair was very coarse and felt very dry. As I was getting the conditioner out that they had sent along with the hair dye, it felt as if my hair was very rough. I also lost a lot of hair in the shower which I do usually lose a little bit of hair when I wash my hair but not that much. I do not know if the hair loss was due to the product but I'm just adding it for other people's knowledge. Also, when I use a box hair dye from the store I am able to use it in my bathroom mirror with the vent on. It does stink but when I used this product from eSalon, I had to actually leave the bathroom because the smell was so strong and overpowering. I do like the color and it was effective and coloring grey hairs. But I will not reorder. Wonderful!I ordered my first color set purely out of curiosity. I have been using off-the-shelf box color for years and after seeing months of advertisements I decided to see what made eSalon color different. So I filled out the profile and waited patiently(ish). Despite my impatience, the color box showed up very quickly. Unfortunately one of the color bottles exploded all over the inside of the box. I contacted the customer support team and they had a replacement in the mail the very next day. I used the color the other evening and the directions were very clear and easy to follow. I’m still debating and deciding whether or not I might need to adjust the color for my next box but that’s entirely personal preference and absolutely nothing to do with eSalon.
