perfectThis was my first experience with esalon.com I loved everything about this experience from start to finish. I found it helpful to add pictures of my current hair color and a picture of what color I was hoping to achieve. I had pretty damaged hair from a terrible experience in a salon and was fed up with the salon experience. I was worried coloring my hair again would damage it further. However after coloring my hair with the esalon kit my hair turned out beautiful, shiny with no fall out and I achieved exactly the color I wanted. The whole process was very easy and the personalized instructions were very helpful. The color didn't stain my skin and didn't smell of heavy chemicals which I appreciated. Customer services was excellent. I will definitely be telling my friends about esalon and using this services again. In rare cases, one can develop sensitivity to hair color over time. In the future, we recommend performing a skin allergy test 48 hours before each hair color application. Bad feelingI tend to go between getting my hair done professionally and doing it at home for 10+ years. I've never had a problem with coloring my hair either way. I enjoyed the simple instructions the kit came with and the fact that they included a second set because I have very long hair. HowEVER.... when trying to rinse it out per the instructions, it did NOT wash out. The water ran clear, before the shampoo/conditioner and after the shampoo/conditioner. My hair was left feeling gummy, sticky, waxy, and just generally gross in every way possible. I couldn't brush it out, couldn't dry it. I could barely get it into a bun or ponytail. I waited 24 hours before washing it again and while most of the yucky feeling came out, it's still there and I am in NO way impressed. The color is also much darker than I anticipated. I have NEVER had my hair feel this way after getting it colored in a salon or at home. I gave it two stars because I enjoyed the instructions and customization, even though I think my color is darker than i expected.
