Mahogany redI don’t color my hair often since I have little gray. And when I do, I dye it myself at home (typically soft black). My 50th birthday is coming up so I wanted to have a big change and go with mahogany red. I felt that my best results would be to have my hair colored professionally. And thus I came to eStudio Color Studio. My experience over all was pleasant and welcoming. The salon is beautifully appointed and clean. My colorist was polite, professional and quite helpful. We discussed my wishes and she explained that she couldn’t give me a lighter shade of red given my dark base. I told her that this was perfect as I wanted a dark shade of red. I showed her some internet pics and said that I wanted “Mahogany Red”. After two hours of processing, shampooing and styling, I was ready for my results. My hair looked beautiful, shinny and nicely styled but it wasn’t RED! My hair looks soft black which, I could have done myself at home!! 😩 I was tired and hungry at that point and the only thing that I managed to say is that it looked too dark. The colorist said that I could go back and get a “light set” at my next appointment which may give me more of a red hue. My mom was with me at the appointment and on our way out she said “I heard you ask for Mahogany Red but I just don’t see it, maybe in the sunlight??!” But no, not in the sunlight either. And to add insult to injury, we ended up having to pay $7.00 for parking, even after the validation!!! ☹️ 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Great coverageThis was BETTER coverage than what I get at my salon. I can’t even explain why. I pay $80-100 to color my thick long hair just for a few grays. I can’t think of a reason to do that again. Even though I sent my photo requesting a consultation, I just got the color I chose. Which is ok. Product changed!When the box changed, so did the product. I have been using eSalon for a long time and have done the process the same way many times and had excellent results and many positive comments about my color. However, the last two shipments since the box change have been waxy, smelly, brassy, and left my hair feeling course.
