Custom Color Set-Fell a little FlatThe odor from the ammonia was nauseating. I actually worried about potential health risks because the odor was so strong. I opened all my windows and decided I would try one application before I decided either way. The color didn't have any shine. Unlike when I go into the salon for a semi-permanent color it was very flat and my hair didn't feel soft. I am not sure that I will continue with this product. Missing ItemsI have been using eSalon for quiet a while and have been very pleased with the product. My box includes instructions, "mixing bottle with cap", color, box with 2 pair of gloves, stain remover, stain guard, shampoo, and "conditioner". This recent purchase did not have all of the following. Upon opening the box, I immediately noticed that the mixing bottle did not have the top on it, and instead of a shampoo and condition, I received 2 shampoos. I truly enjoy using the shampoo and conditioner because it makes my hair feel and smell amazing, but I was not able to use it this time due to not having it in the box. I am glad that I did clean and save a bottle from a previous order and was able to use the top from the other bottle. Hair color turned out terribleI ordered what it was supposed to be medium blond with a few copper highlights in it and my hair turned out dark Auburn. Completely opposite of what I was looking for. And if a person compared it to the picture I picked out the color I picked out is like night and day. Completely completely different. I am completely dissatisfied with this I look terrible! I won't be getting this again! The people were really nice and answered all my questions in the beginning. But they have you go through and answer a bunch of questions so they can get an idea what you are looking for and have you pick out a color that you want. Not the sameI had a great color the first time I ordered but the second time is way darker. Not the same. I’m FURIOUS. I want blonde hair, not light brown and this color has set me back in my hair color goals. Fooled The Hair SalonI wanted a solution that was going to look great and cover my fairy floss (aka gray hair) on top. This product did a really good job. I previously had highlights that were grown out in my hair and colorist sent two formulas: 1.) One for roots with more brown and 2.) One for the ends with less brown. This ensured that the bleached part didn't get too dark and made the color even all over. It's really held up well and I'm on my 9th week or so. I got my hair cut at a really high end salon where they are all Redken certified colorists. The girl who cut my hair loved the color and couldn't believe that I got it from an at home kit. From the packaging to the thought behind every detail, this is the way to go to get beautiful color without the salon pricing!
