I feel empowered!The freedom of not being tied to a salon, or ridiculous pricing...wasted time, etc...it is empowering. One part I would change is that next time, I will not use the "shower" method as the last step. I think this is much easier performed in a sink...it just seemed like a big mess in the shower (Dumping the bowl of dye on my head). The whole process was easier than I imagined and now that I have a good base color I am ready to try something more difficult; like the highlighting kit. Good but needs some tweakingI like the color match. It matched my natural color so well no one noticed I colored my hair. The downside is that even after multiple washes, the color is still bleeding onto my pillowcases. Additionally, during the color process, the instructions say to mix what’s left in the bottle with water and dump over your head. I did, but with short hair, it’s hard to mix all the color left with water. I ended up with big gloopy globs of color and then just water pouring over my head. It was a real mess. It’s okay, but...I love the color, but it doesn’t last any better than the drugstore brands. It fades very quickly. Also, you recently changed the shampoo and conditioner in the kit, and I HATE the smell of them. I’m very sensitive to the smell of a product, and this factors greatly whether I purchase the item again. Not as I hoped.The color did not turned out like I hoped. When it started fading away, which happened really quickly, my hair looked brassy and very dry. I decided to give it another chance and I asked to adjust my color to be less brassy and more ashy but the second one is now copper and not at all I requested. Color was nothing like what I had asked forColor was completely different then what I had asked for. It came out the exact same color I already have and with no gray coverage even after following all the instructions. At least with box colors and Madison Reed I know the end result will at least resemble the color on the package.
