Pros and consFirst of all I have been coloring my hair for more than 35 years. I am now about 80% silver. I really set forth with a positive attitude when I ordered this. I'm tired of spending over $100 per month. My gray is resistant. My order came on time and I got a follow up call from eSalon to see if I had used it yet. Well today was the day. Out of the box it is well organized and I appreciated some of the little things like 2 pair of gloves that fit, a miraculous stain remover and the ease of directions. I had read that the mixture was runny but I would disagree. it's about the same as with all other products. So far so good. I stepped into the shower for the final application, sort of step 3, and as I was sudsing up the final application and turned on the water to rinse something odd happened. My hair felt like wet straw. I used the provided shampoo and that really didn't help. Then came the conditioner and finally things started to feel more normal. Unfortunately a lot of my hair was coming out. Much more than during a usual dye job, but the silkiness was back in my wet hair. I was relieved. I dried my hair and I must say the color that was matched for me was excellent. my gray seems to have total coverage and the texture is very full. I don't notice any special highlights as the advertising claims but it's shiny and healthy looking. I will have to wait and think about using this again. Not cheap or tacky!You get great hair color for even less than half the price of a salon! I have a lot of hair, so sometimes it can cost up to $80+ to color my hair professionally...I think I got the same results with this, but for $20some instead.
