Too dark and too redThe color was much too dark and came out a pinkish-red. After a few days and shampoos, it faded a bit, but was still too dark for me. I asked for a lighter color for the next order and was told they couldn’t lighten it as much as I had asked for. Well, I went to the store and bought what I’ve always used before, light natural blond by L’Oreal, and my hair came out to be just what I wanted. Color faded fastEven with leaving the color on for a longer allotted amount of time than required, within two weeks the color had faded and my grays began to show through again, even with using the color treated shampoo, conditioner and color tint. I also washed my hair in cold water hoping that it would help retain some of its vibrancy but it didn’t help. UnsatisfiedWhen I first started with esalon, they gave me my color with a 20 vol developer. I’m a freelance makeup artist and hair stylist so I know a thing or two about hair and how to color. After the first four times using esalon, I started to notice breakage on my edges and my front hair line. Since, I am using black hair color them there is NO reason at all why I should be using a 20 vol developer. I figured the high vol of developer is what caused my breakage. I emailed them to change the developer to a 10 so that wasn’t an issue. After each color, I washed my color out and the process has been far from easy. Here’s some of the cons I’ve noticed using esalon color: 1. It takes forever to rinse out. 2. The color feels sticky like glue when trying to wash it out which is not normal. 3. Still haven’t gotten what I want for color...My hair tends to get brassy easily. DisappointedIt was easy and efficient. The instructions we're clear and the product easy to apply but it was not the colori was looking for our described.
