Not better than what you buy from the storeI’ve requested a medium blond with an ash tone as this is my natural colour and tone and the result on fully grown roots is a medium honeycomb reddish blonde. It’s the worst colour shade I’ve ever had. It is also very harsh for the scalp. Ive lost a fistful of hair in the shower. Liked the kit, but it didn't cover my grayI had indicated in my order that I had dye-resistant grays and needed an "N" base. No one ever reached out or responded. I just colored my hair and sure enough - the grey is still there. Two tone hair is not cuteMy last kit gave me two-toned hair and not it a cute way. My ends were copper blond and my roots were brown and I am going for an auburn copper look all over. This last order was supposed to fix it and all I can say is thank goodness for quarantine so that no one will be seeing me like this and I have tome to try to fix it again. I followed the directions to the letter, setting timers and using the brush to apply and everything you're supposed to do. I officially have two toned hair. My ends are almost blond. My roots are an incredibly fake looking red. It's really, really bad. I have been getting better results for years from buying grocery store hair color. Turned my hair orangeHi.... I'm giving this two stars instead of one because I really liked my hair the first time I dyed it using Madison Reed. With my first order the company supposedly sent a second bottle of the same dye for free (like a buy one get one free type deal). While I hate to complain about free stuff, the second bottle turned my hair orange. I really liked how my first coloring turned out, but I used the second bottle of what was supposedly the same color to dye my roots and it turned my hair BRIGHT orange. I read the trouble shooting articles about orange hair and if both bottles sent to me were the same shade then this wouldn't have happened. Anyways I ended up using the whole bottle on the rest of my head to try and at least get my roots to match my hair a little closer even if the color is orange .... It's slightly better but it's still orange. All in all loved the first coloring, hated the second coloring. Probably won't order again because I don't want to risk dying my hair orange and then damaging my hair trying to fix it. The color I paid for looked great. No different than store boughtI was very disappointed in the product I received, I've been using over the counter products for years that do not have ammonia in them. I tried the e-salon brand because of the reviews. My scalp felt like it was on fire the entire time and it did not cover my greys at my temples.
