A wet drippy super stain mess.My first prdee was perfect. I was so happy I immediately went to auto ship. The second set was awful. Drip, stain mess! Awful. Did an ok job-but not what I expectedThe color did an ok job covering up the red tones that were coming through since I went from bleach blonde to darkest brown for the fall. There’s still some slight redness in the top even though I followed the instruction to the T. My biggest concern and why I wanted to try Esalon was that because I had aggressive chemotherapy last year due to aggressive breast cancer. Since chemo my skin is super sensitive. While I noted all this in my profile, it was a pretty harsh chemical treatment. While I was extremely careful with my ears, I got some minor burns on them that I have to use liquid bandage on. Pros and consThe bad first- my package arrived with 2 shampoos and no conditioner. I'm always heavy handed with conditioning. I had a left over tube of deep conditioner I was able to use that always makes my hair feel great, but after this dye, it feels super dry still. I even let it really soak in too. The directions tell you to use a 3 step application process. One to roots, one to ends, then mix what's left with water, apply and massage into hair for 2-3 min before rinsing. It recommends the last step be in the shower. I did as directed. I noticed with the first application that the smell is straight ammonia and not tamed by anything more pleasant. I didn't think much of it till I was on step 3 with the curtain pulled and almost died from the fumes. Trying to get fresh air while covered in dye was not ideal. The good-Arrived quickly. Good directions. Dye was fairly easy to remove from skin. Best of all, it's truly the color I've tried to get at least a dozen ways before, professionally and at home!
