"Lightening" not quite as advertisedI wanted to test eSalon's ability to lighten up to 2 shades as advertised, so I requested medium ash blonde as my color; I was going from light brown virgin hair. My color stylist (who I don't blame for the issues I had, just to be clear!) followed up with an email letting me know that the color may not be as cool-toned as I was hoping for, and they provided me various options. I chose to go ahead with my intended color, feeling totally fine that achieving a true ash tone wouldn't be likely. What I wasn't expecting was my hair staying the exact same tone, but turning a brassy orangey-red! Really not sure why 15 volume developer was used in a situation where a full 2 levels of lightening is desired; you almost always need at least 20 volume, and even that can sometimes only get you 1 shade lighter. Didn't burn my hair off or do much more than eat up a few hours of my day because the $10 deal was dirt cheap, but I overall really don't recommend this service for any sort of lightening. Darker colors are probably much more successful! viel zu dunkelMein Wunsch war ein einheitliches schönes auf gar keinen Fall zu dunkles Braun auf meinem Kopf. Ich habe gesundes lockiges Haar auf dem Kopf gehabt. Was habe ich jetzt vom färben mit eSalon? Ja genau, dunkelbraunes Haar mit sogar schwarzbraunen Spitzen. Wie das aussieht, könnt ihr euch gerne vorstellen. Plus die schwarzbraunen Spitzen reflektieren nichts, sie sind einfach nur schwarzbraun. Selbst nach mehreren Haarwäschen, da die Farbe sich nach einigen Wäschen noch immer etwas auswäscht, sieht es nicht besser aus. Ich bin einfach maßlos enttäuscht und kann eSalon daher leider nicht empfehlen. Nur der Form halber möchte ich erwähnen, dass die Anwendung ganz einfach war und der Karton wirklich süß hergerichtet ist, zumal auch der eigene Name draufsteht. Hätte es jetzt noch mit der Farbe geklappt, hätte ich mir überlegt die Haare so öfters zu färben, da man einfach nicht Stunden beim Friseur sitzen muss. HorribleI started with my very long, completely natural (never colored) hair. I followed the directions exactly, which were to apply the color from root to tip. I ended up with roots that were the color I wanted and the rest of my hair looked like no change happened at all. Hot roots. The next morning I went to a salon and paid a ton of money for "color correction". Although the salon was able to mitigate some of the damage, my hair is still uneven. I can't believe I trusted this company. It took YEARS for me to grow out my long natural hair. After YEARS of wanting copper hair, I was finally ready to color it. I wish I had just gone to a salon in the first place. Ultimately, I would have paid less, and more importantly, I would have had a whole head of even color. Color Didn't TakeI was so excited about this personalized hair color. I followed the directions step by step, but instead of a light blonde my hair came out pretty much the same color with a red-ish tint. I have never known my hair to have any red in it so I don't know how this happened. Eh, barely changed my undyed colorWanted to lighten my red hair a bit, I've done this years ago with store boxes, no problem! Expected the same and was disappointed.
