Dye is great, but stylist falls shortI joined eSalon with the belief that the stylists work with you to adjust your hair color. This is not the case. I got resistance each time. I have medium blonde hair and I wanted to go lighter. I was getting my hair done at the salon before and did not have trouble with red tones coming out, but you pay for that. I have red tones in my hair naturally so I have had to deal with this before (I have been dying my hair for over 20 years). This was not a problem and I was excited to be patient and work with the stylist. The stylist recommended other products at first (not a problem) and then all I got was "follow the instructions, dye is only to be put on the roots". I responded by asking how this helps the red tones my roots was where the red tones were. I got the same response back "follow instructions". I don't even think the stylist read my email, because none of my questions were answered (eg. should I try a different shade). I was rather disappointed with the stylist, but I recommend eSalon if they get your color right the first time. The dye was wonderful. Hope this helps. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Ok for the moneyNot bad for a home coloring kit. My hair turned out to be a more honey blonde than I wanted. Very Disappointed Following 1st Time UseI didn't have much but was becoming more conscious of the scattered grey, especially in my fringe so decided to give eSalon a go instead of booking an appointment at my local salon. I couldn't be much more disappointed as the coverage was virtually non existent. Add to that the fact the lovely sheen my hair had immediately after applying the colour only lasted a week and all I've achieved is having to wait 3 months before the local salon can apply a professional colour for me. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Something changedI have been using your hair color since you started. Love the color, that it doesn't get too dark and soaked in like some over the counter products do. My shade is perfect! But.... It seems the last 3 kits I have received have just my hair feeling full of gunk. Like it's covered in hair gel or something. I've always done the dye and then conditioned and had marvelous results. Soft and squeaky clean hair. Something has changed in the formula it seems. I colored yesterday morning before work and spent the entire day with my hair in a bun with greasy looking bangs because it looked dirty/greasy. I couldn't wait to get home to wash it. I do have one more kit here and I'm afraid if I keep getting these results I will have to discontinue my subscription. 😟 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Opposite of what I asked forMy roots ended up orange. The rest of my hair just lost it's golden reddish tones and got darker. I don't understand how you can mess this upso much.
