Better than the salon!Love this company! Stylist called to speak with me about a note I made that I didn’t want red in my color. I’m so glad she did because the original color I chose had warm undertones, but the one we decided on had a green neutralizer that was exactly what I wanted! Love the adjustments you've made!Thank you! My most recent color kit included adjustments and a second bottle to compensate for my longer hair and previous faded color job. I love it! poor customer serviceI'm writing this review on the customer service experience I had with esalon. I'm actually upset not to be able to use their products as they were very nice. I ordered my first product in May and was so happy with the results I signed up for the automatic plan. I received an email that my color was shipped June 17th & would receive updated shipping info 1-3 days later. When I did not, I reached out and was told "We are working very hard to ensure your order arrives as quickly and safely as possible. Due to a high volume of orders, carriers are experiencing difficulties updating their tracking information. We can confirm your order has been shipped on June 17, and should be delivered by July 1 latest. But please rest assured, your order can very well arrive anytime now. Unfortunately, delivery times are beyond our control as our carriers operate independently." I received an email June 30 asking "have you received your order." I found this odd since I was told July 1. As suggested by the email, I contacted customer service via the 1800 number. The woman was unapologetic after finding the last movement on my order was June 25th. So I said, I think I need to cancel my order. At this point she said ok, said I would receive an email and hung up. The email was minus the shipping - for an item I did not receive. So, I once again wrote customer service and explained the situation. Their response was, "Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately we do not refund for shipping you can see our return policy here.." When I explained I never received the product and would be forced to dispute with my CC and leave a review - he replied, "Thank you for your reply. Please proceed how you feel necessary." TextureI am satisfied with the color. My concern is that it gave my hair a somewhat rough and plastic feel - kind of like a toy dolls hair. My salon Aveda product left my hair shiny and silky. Maybe it would be best to NOT pull it through already treated hair?? It is easy to use. I find it fading away to a lighter brown where it previously covered gray. That doesn't happen with the Aveda nonpermanent product my salon used. I've never noticed fading just new growth. All that said this is a difficult time.
