I love the super shine and intense bright finish of my new colour. The compliments I receive on a daily base, even weeks after my first touch up are lovely. I've always had my hair colored at a salon, I've never done it myself. I was so scared to try but eSalon made it so easy with great instructions and videos to watch. I first did a strand test and then did the all over permanent color. It turned out perfectly! I'm so excited to receive my color in the mail just when I need and want it. I bought the accessories kit and cape and loved those as well, they were very helpful as I had nothing to start with at home.
I was a bit worried, at first, considering the last time was not really good. It was too dark. This time, my directions were different. It turned out perfect. I thought at first that I had lost my directions that we're like the other ones but I followed it and Walla, it was perfect. Thank you esalon!!!!!
I love the gray coverage I get with my color! Initial color was a little dark, so Alix, who is awesome, adjusted it just a little lighter. Now my color is fabulous!

I love this product! I am 46 and 80% grey. Tired of being tied to a schedule of a stylist and not happy with the coverage of products bought in drug stores. I have been to the beach, swimming, and my color is perfect! The process is perfect and I don’t have to remember to buy hair color at the store! Love it! If you’re worried about the color don’t, as a new customer they called me to verif my color needs! I had color and highlights and grey! Follow the directions and you’ll be happy you invested in this product!
I really am impressed how well my color has been combined specifically for me without ever having my colorist see my hair in person! Just through photos submitted through eSalon, my colorist has mixed the right shade of chocolate that works with my complexion. Every time I dye my hair, I am so happy with the results.
I have trouble finding a brown that's not too dark or too red. This medium brown with violet is exactly what I wanted. I originally got the dark brown, but I just messaged them asking to make it lighter, and the next box was perfect. I also love that it automatically ships to me when I decide, because I'm always thinking "man, I need to color my hair" and then the kit just shows up! I love this product/service. Never paying $60 for the wrong color at the salon ever again.
I haven't used E-salon in a while so I wasn't sure about the color. I uploaded a couple of photos and chose a color. The consultant emailed me to say that the shade I picked would be too dark and they were adjusting it. I am very happy with the shade they chose! Also pleased that in only 35 minutes the gray is completely covered!

I love the new color. I asked for a slight change from my previous color mix. They did exactly as I requested. I am so happy with my hair. It is healthy and shiny.
The application of the new formula was great. It has more of a foam like texture, resulting in more coverage overall. With the older formula, I would miss spots here and there. Also it seemed easier to clean up off my skin. I usually have itching on my scalp for a day or two after dying my hair but not this time. I am very pleased with this modification.
I have tried just about every product out there including Madison Reed and found eSalon to have the best long lasting gray coverage out everything. The tone is beautiful as well!
I cant get over how much more natural this color looks than what I was used to. There is so much dimension to the color -- not at all a drab one-tone look that you get from most DIY color!! Will be using e-Salon from here on out!!
Custom color is what brought me in and most of you! Price is triple what you pay at the Dept store but that’s typical the cost of anything custom made.
Love the fact they give you stain remover, stain guard, trial size quality shampoo and conditioner but two pairs of gloves? I just use one pair and have now amassed a boxful of gloves! I’d rather they give me an extra stain remover as one is never enough and .99 cents for more is overpriced!
$30 min for free shipping is better than paying for $6-$7 shipping but their haircare products are already overpriced so that’s where they make extra money out of you there. Wished they can lower their shipping cost fee or reduce the price of their products to make it worth while the $30 min because there’s always tax on top of that and I always end up paying $37+

A friend mentioned how much she loved her eSalon hair color so I decided to give it a try. I was very impressed! The specific instructions are easy to follow but I don’t color mine as often as I need to so I put color all the way to the end about 5-10min after I put color on the roots. My hair seems to need more time with color applied all the way to the ends.
I absolutely love my custom colour, it's exactly what I wanted and it is so good against my skin tone. I love the fact that I don't have to worry about having to go out and buy more colour (well actually find it on the shelf as more often than not it's out of stock) as it's delivered just when I need it.

I was a little nervous ordering hair colour on line, but I needn't have worried. The products I received are all amazing. I love the custom colour and it looks as good as if my hairdresser had done it herself.

I've been dying my hair for years and now approaching 50 and have lots more grey hair and the salons are too expensive, so I used to use the supermarket dyes but always found that they never covered my grey and my colour always seemed to be a yellowish colour. I'm so impressed with eSalon and if you don't need your product the next month you can always delay this, it's great as you are not stuck into a contract as well
This was by far the best overall hair coloring I’ve ever had, and especially that I’ve done myself. This was the most gray hair I’ve ever had to cover...but it came out great. I’m very happy with my results. Thanks so much e Salon!!

I was very happy with my custom blended color kit. it was easy to use and the results were great! Everything is included and very user friendly! I got great coverage and the color seems to be lasting very well! I definitely recommend eSalon!
This is an amazing product, especially if you don't need highlights. I use the color for all over color at first and now on root touch up. The gold in the formula makes my gray look like highlights.
Esalon is so convenient. I wanted to try it out because of the custom aspect of it. I liked formulating my own color based on questions of my natural hair color and what I was looking to color, ie: gray. I have since gone a bit lighter in my tone (golden mahogany) which I love. Changing the color was so easy and the end product was superb!
I had previously used the root cover, and decided to try the all-over color. I really like how the directions are so precise! For example, using the leftover color, mixing with water in the shower and pouring it over your head... what a great idea! I used to buy over the counter color and simply pour the rest down the sink which was wasteful! I love that you explain how to only color roots first, wait 15 minutes before applying to the rest of the hair. I am saving money since I usually spend $80 or more at my salon, and the color at a professional salon doesn't last any longer than color from e-Salon.(for me, usually 5-6 weeks) I also like that I was able to tweak my color until I got it just right!
This is such an awesome concept....have your personalized hair color kit mailed to your home. This service also comes with a 24 hour color expert if you have any questions. Cost is much less than a salon appointment, and you don’t have to take off work early!
I have been getting custom hair color for years from Esalon. I cannot believe that I haven't written a review yet! I am one who always praises great companies, their representatives, and their products. Esalon has always provided me with great service in every way! This kit was so easy to use, laid out perfectly in the delivery box making each component easy to locate. Strongly advise the extra developer/color if you have longer than shoulder length hair or very thick hair. The color itself (I went with 6.04 Light Brown/ Natural Copper) is beautiful and very rich, while still enhancing the highlights that were in my hair prior to using at home color. I couldn't be more pleased and look forward to saving an easy $1,000 each year on salon visits!
Love it!!!!! My hair does not like hair color for the most part, I am always left with straw for hair for at least 2 weeks afterwords and the other dyes are a pain to rinse out. This was so easy, it rinsed clear within minutes and although my hair was still a little straw like it was leaps and bounds above anything else I have ever tried!! Will be ordering again regularly!! I love the color I end up with, exactly what I was looking for and tried so hard to get elsewhere. I have lots of gray so was ending up with orange when I was aiming for reddish brown. Even expensive salons couldn't get it right!The shampoo and conditioner included in my color kit are great too.
I have used boxed hair dye since the age of 26 as I was very, very premature gray. I am in my late 40's now with a lot of gray hair in my roots. I can not afford expensive in salon color, so I decided to give ESalon a try. Wow...Not only is the color spot on, but the texture of my hair (super silky and smooth) and the overall results are OUTSTANDING!!! I am so beyond happy! Thank you!
