Good color, but didn't go all the way throughI have been having my hair professionally done and filling in the roots with drug store color. I went back to esalon and decided to go from a dark brown to a dark red. They sent me two types of color, one for my roots and one for the rest of the hair which had previous been dyed. The roots and the ends are colored red but the area right after my roots (which had been colored by the drug store color) didn't really take the color. You can't see it if you aren't looking, but I'll probably need to do an all over color again. Also, my roots are a bit redder than my ends which isn't desirable. I really wanted to like this productMy color came out darker than i wanted, it doesn't cover up my previous color and it made it look like 2 different colors(i wanted ash but overall it still looks red). However their customer service is quite impressive, i contacted them and they said they could sent me a demi darker shade to cover up my red tones. I really like the whole idea of these and i really wanted to like it, but it just doesn't work for me. Plus i feel like there is still a lot of residue on my scalp after several washes(i even scrub and massage it and wash it twice), but somehow there are still those brown residue on my scalp(it made my scalp itchy throughout the day and when i scratch it i can see brown stuff coming out*i'm sorry if it's gross).
