NOT JUST ANOTHER "BOX DYE"I spent years dying my own hair with box kits at home, then years getting it done professionally at a salon, and back again. When it's a more complicated process (e.g. ombre), I don't mind paying for someone else to do it right, but when I want my hair a single, solid color (black in recent months), it just feels like a waste of money to go to a salon for it. That being said, it's always been almost impossible to find a shade of black in store box brands that looks natural (not jet black w/blue undertones), but also doesn't just look like dark brown or a soft black that quickly fades to brown. I decided to try eSalon to see if they could finally nail finding the right shade for me, and I was very pleasantly surprised. It turned out perfect, and stayed a natural looking black past that point where it was time to re-dye.
