eSalon is looking for a CSS/HTML Developer to join our innovative Tech Team in improving and supporting our front end applications. From our customer facing sites to internal background tools, your goal is to keep eSalon's custom platform running smoothly. With over 293,000 unique formulations and 3 brands, there's never a dull moment (and your hair doesn't have to be either!) You’ll work independently with little supervision, but also partner up with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Project Managers to deliver top quality solutions. This role will report to the Director of Software Engineering and is fully remote. What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities

Develop HTML and CSS without using packaged web design software
Collaborate with the UI/UX designer to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation
Translating wireframes and style guides into responsive HTML layouts and styling
Work with end users to create meaningful UX designs and the implementation of feature requests
Ensuring cross-platform compatibility
Finding errors in applications and troubleshooting them
Participate in agile software development process and code reviews

Qualifications

Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS, CSS extension languages (Less, Sass), and CSS preprocessor tools.
Proficient with JavaScript, and XML
Familiarity with building intuitive front-end applications
Understanding of code versioning technologies (Git, Mercurial, SVN)
Knowledge of cross-browser and device compatibility issues and limitations
Experience with different image and video formats used to optimize page weight and performance
Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
A detail-oriented self-starter who is passionate about high quality UX and enjoys working in a rapidly changing, fast paced environment.
A team player who is always ready and willing to share their technical knowledge.
Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Familiarity with PHP frameworks
BSc/BA in Computer Science or a related degree
