UI UX Developer

We are a radical team of engineers, coders, technicians, creatives, and colorists coming together to craft a completely personalized hair color and hair care experience—all while empowering folks to be experts at home.

As a UI/UX Developer for eSalon, you’ll take part in implementing user interfaces, customer experiences, and interaction designs for our websites and internal tools. In this role, you’ll take on product requirements, wireframes, design comps, and user flows, and contribute to transforming them into production-ready interfaces and interactions. As a member of the development team, you’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers, on multiple brand verticals, to implement new features and improve existing ones. You’ll use your skills to ensure the latest quality standards and best practices for UI and UX implementation.

Responsibilities

Implement designs in pixel-perfect, responsive, and semantic HTML and SCSS
Find and resolve bugs efficiently
Collaborate with and accept feedback from the design, product, QA, and technology teams
Be responsible for communicating project status and deliverables with managers and team members in clear, concise terms
Test and troubleshoot across multiple versions of various browsers, platforms and devices
Collaborate with managers and team members to maintain quality standards and best practices across our sites and internal tools
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Expert level knowledge of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and CSS preprocessors (i.e. SASS)
Proficient with JavaScript/jQuery
Experience w/ CSS animations and parallax scrolling is a plus
Experience with more advanced JS frameworks (e.g. React) is a plus
Passionate about delivering beautiful, functional, and usable user interfaces
Self-starter, highly organized, strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented, able to multitask with strong prioritization, planning, and organization skills
Works well with a team, and collaborates well with other teams
B2C e-commerce experience is a plus
Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
