eSalon is looking for a Social Media Manager to develop the editorial content calendar, execute creative including copywriting, photography and video and distribute via social channels. This position will be the brand voice across all applicable social media channels and will also share content ownership over Color Mastery, eSalon’s online education hub. This role will have an emphasis in stand-out content development.

Responsibilities

Develop a social media strategy that gives voice and perspective to the eSalon brand
Create compelling content and copy for all of eSalon’s social channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest and Twitter
Develop and maintain an ongoing social content calendar (products, contests/promotions, etc.)
Manage the creative process for social media and education hub assets, working closely with Creative team to ensure objectives are met in a timely manner
Collaborate with Acquisition (paid social) team, helping to develop campaigns and/or content that builds engagement and improves conversion
Style and photograph products, before/after stills and videos; edit for short-form post where appropriate
Maintain brand standards and content creator guidelines across digital content and site
Stay up-to-date on social media trends and emerging platforms; implement tests, where appropriate, to trial new approaches to meeting our goals
Actively respond and outreach to audiences across social networks to engage them in discussions around relevant hair care, pop culture, and lifestyle topics.
Create and maintain a monthly report of KPIs and share actionable suggestions based on report insights, including audience growth and engagement.
Content development will be 80% planned and 20% will be grass roots, in-the-moment

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing or Business
Minimum 3-5 years of concentrated experience with social media and digital marketing channels; proven ability to grow audiences and conversion through compelling, relevant content across all major social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest
Creative thinker with strong visual and editorial judgment and comes to the table with writing, grammar, and content-creation skills (samples required); thorough understanding of and ability to write in the voice that’s appropriate for each brand/channel/platform.
Experienced project manager with proven ability to mobilize cross-functional teams
Entrepreneurial, nimble, energetic; self-driven productivity machine.
Forward-thinker with the ability to work independently, thrive in a fast-paced environment and navigate ambiguity or uncertainty
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
This position does require posting on weekends
Experience with Paid Social and understanding of Paid, Earned and Owned strategies and how they work together. Strong understanding of native and outside analytics (Google Analytics, Facebook etc.)
